To put it merely, the Ottawa Senators are a little bit of a dumpster hearth.
But one factor they do have is cap room. So, may they use that flexibility to coax Erik Karlsson again to Ottawa?
The defenseman reportedly is hoping so.
Karlsson, who was traded to the San Jose Sharks from the Senators final offseason, will hit unrestricted free company July 1. He’s anticipated to have fairly a couple of suitors, and his cryptic tweet after San Jose’s season ended appears to point his time within the Bay Area could be achieved.
And based on the Ottawa Sun’s Don Brennan, Karlsson is hoping that the Sens and Montreal Canadiens current him with “compelling offers.”
