Park City siblings charged in Vernon Hills gunfire incident


A Park City man and his sister have been charged in reference to a photographs fired incident that shut down faculties final week in north suburban Vernon Hills.

About 8:45 a.m. Sept. 17, a Vernon Hills resident stepped out of their house within the 300 block of Plumwood Court after listening to the sound of gunshots, Vernon Hills police stated.

The resident allegedly noticed Ulises Jacobo, 20, standing close to the resident’s automobile with a handgun, whereas his sister, 18-year-old Guadalupe Jacobo, smashed it up with a baseball bat, police stated.

Ulises Jacobo was reportedly within the space on the lookout for his ex-girlfriend, who was believed to be with the resident, police stated. Several faculties and daycare amenities have been positioned on a gentle lockdown as police investigated the incident.

A warrant was launched for Ulises Jacobo’s arrest the subsequent day, charging him with reckless discharge of a firearm, mob motion and prison injury to property, police stated. He turned himself in Sept. 23.

Guadalupe Jacobo turned herself in Sept. 20 and was charged with prison injury to property, police stated. She was launched on $30,000 bond.

Ulises Jacobo is being held on $500,000 bond, police stated. He is due again in court docket Oct. 24.
