For better or worse, Richard Sherman is not afraid to make his voice heard.
The boisterous Seattle Seahawks cornerback has made a name for himself both on the field and off, and he’s already doing his best to steal the show in the week leading up to the Super Bowl.
Sherman hit the ground running in Arizona, as he wasted no time in saying some things. He questioned how New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft’s relationship with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell might affect the league’s investigation into DeflateGate.
He also was asked about his standing among the league’s best cornerback, especially how it relates to New England cornerback Darrelle Revis.
“I don’t measure my game to anybody’s, so I don’t have a great answer for that question,” Sherman said Sunday, according to NFL.com. “I think my game measures up pretty well to myself.”
The reporter then tried a follow-up question about that Sherman swatted away harder and faster than most passes he breaks up. The reporter asked Sherman if he thought he was still the best cornerback in the league, and, well …
“I don’t really answer preschool questions, so you improve your line of questioning, and we’ll talk,” Sherman quipped.
Media day on Tuesday should be a good time.
