New England Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount had a career year with the Patriots in 2016, but it doesn’t sound like he will be returning for an encore next season. Watch Nationals’ Bryce Harper Hit Massive Home Run In Spring Training Debut
Share this: Bryce Harper already looks ready for Opening Day. The Washington Nationals star outfielder had a subpar 2016 season but he made his spring training debut with a bang Saturday. Harper was facing New York Mets left-hander Sean Gilmartin in the second inning and he put a hurt on the first pitch he saw, blasting it well over the right-center field wall. Take a look at the tape-measure blast below. Harper, the 2015 National League MVP, saw his numbers dip last season as he hit .243 with 24 home runs and 86 RBIs, a far cry from his MVP numbers the year before. Moscow, which finished first in last year’s rankings, came in second with 91.4 hours spent in traffic. Other U.S. cities appearing in the top 20 include: New York (3), San Francisco (4),
Cardinals Want To Keep Free Agent Chandler Jones One Way Or Another
Share this: It sounds like Chandler Jones shouldn’t plan on changing his address this offseason. The 26-year-old outside linebacker is a free agent, but based on Cardinals general manager Steve Keim’s appearance on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM, the Cardinals plans on keeping Jones, one way or another. “We’ve had a lot of great dialogue,” Keim said per ESPN’s Josh Weinfuss. “We certainly will place the franchise tag on him if we can’t get a deal done.” Jones and the Cardinals have until March 1 to get a long-term deal done or the Cardinals will have to franchise the versatile linebacker. “When you find guys who are core players that you want to move forward with, you got to try to be active and aggressive and try to
Drew Pomeranz Focused On Being A Starting Pitcher In 2017 Season
Share this: The Boston Red Sox certainly bolstered their pitching staff in the offseason with the addition of Chris Sale, but there still are question marks when it comes to the back end of the rotation. One candidate for the No. 4 or 5 starter could be Drew Pomeranz, who the Red Sox acquired via trade last season. Pomeranz was an All-Star with the San Diego Padres in 2016, but he struggled upon his arrival to Boston. However, as spring training is officially underway, Pomeranz has put last season in the rear-view mirror and is focused on being a starting pitcher for the Red Sox in 2017. To hear what Pomeranz had to say about the upcoming season, check out the video above from
