Red Sox Wrap: Boston’s Offense Comes Alive Late In 9-6 Win Over Yankees

The Boston Red Sox have been a resilient ball club all season, and that trend continued Friday night against the New York Yankees at Fenway Park. Trailing the Yankees by three in the bottom half of the seventh, the Red Sox rallied for four runs in the inning and tacked on two more in the eighth en route to a 9-6 victory in Game 1 of the weekend series. It was a brief outing for Red Sox starter Drew Pomeranz. The left-hander tossed 3 1/3 scoreless innings before being pulled from the game with back spasms. Boston’s bullpen wasn’t spectacular in relief of Pomeranz, but timely hitting bailed out the lackluster pitching. With

Man Claims Daughter Still Would Be Alive If She Wasn’t Driving Tesla

David Ross Makes History To Help Cubs Keep World Series Hopes Alive

The Chicago Cubs have lived to see another day, and they have their 39-year-old catcher in part to thank. The Cubs staved off elimination at Wrigley Field on Sunday night, defeating the Cleveland Indians 3-2 in Game 5 of the World Series to force a Game 6 in Cleveland on Tuesday. David Ross was right in the thick of the action, delivering what proved to be the game-winning RBI in the fourth inning with a sacrifice fly to left field that scored Ben Zobrist from third base. Navarro: "I said to myself 'this has to be our race'"

Jorge Navarro (Estrella Galicia 0,0) has had a tough mid-season stint, but the Spaniard bounced back in spectacular style at his home GP at MotorLand Aragon, perfectly judging the race and taking his second career victory. Although losing the title to Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Ajo), both Navarro and Enea Bastianini (Gresini Racing Moto3) were in the battle to the end - with the race and the championship coming down to the final corner. Navarro, who had to win the race to keep his title hopes alive, did all he could - but South African Binder took enough points with his P2 finish to earn the crown. Source link
