BOSTON — The Boston Celtics had only seen the Milwaukee Bucks once before their 103-100 loss Wednesday night, but the Bucks clearly present a challenge to the Celtics. Milwaukee’s ability to put rangy, athletic lineups on the floor bothered Boston for most of the night, especially during the first half. And if the two teams were to meet in the NBA playoffs, the Celtics will need to figure out how to attack the Bucks. “They’ve been one of the best teams in the East over the last month and a half,” Celtics coach Brad Stevens said. “So, I’m not surprised by their level and their level is really high. Gabby Douglas Answers Critics Who Don’t Think Winning Gold Medals Is ‘Patriotic’…
Share this: Although Gabby Douglas positioned her hands well enough to win Olympic gold, keyboard warriors still aren’t satisfied. The U.S. gymnast was criticized Tuesday for how she stood on the podium during the national anthem at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. While her teammates stood with their hands on their hearts during the anthem, Douglas stood with her hands at her side, prompting accusations of “disrespect” from some Twitter users. Douglas on Wednesday used the same medium explain herself. As if she even needed to do so. Douglas only was on the podium because she helped USA gymnastics win the gold medal in the women’s team competition … just as she did in 2012. If that isn’t “patriotic” enough, I don’t know what is. Celtics Left Searching For Answers After Another Rough Start Vs. Hawks
For all the ugly statistics to come out of the Boston Celtics’ Game 2 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday — trust us, there were plenty — there’s one that possibly provides hope: If you take away both first quarters, the Celtics have outscored the Hawks by 10 points so far. Of course, that stat is little solace for a Boston team that managed just 72 points at Philips Arena on Tuesday to fall into an 0-2 hole in the best-of-seven opening round series. It also ignores the elephant in the room: the Celtics’ extreme aversion to the first quarter. The C’s have been outscored by a combined 28 points in both first quarters

The beauty of Twitter is the ability to interact with athletes on a more personal level. Tyler Seguin took some time to answer questions submitted via Twitter on NESN Daily. Theo Epstein, Terry Francona Will Share Heat Following Red Sox Loss As They Search for Answers
by Tony Lee on Thu, Sep 29, 2011 at 2:40AM Theo Epstein and Terry Francona have been linked for eight years in the Red Sox organization. They've been lauded together as the central figures in the best decade in team history. This month, they were side-by-side as targets in a budding rumor that suggested the two were not seeing eye-to-eye. And on Wednesday night at Camden Yards, they were paired once more in a quest for answers. "This is one for the ages, isn't it?" Epstein said in the moments after a gut-wrenching loss teamed with a Tampa Bay Rays win to end Boston's season. "We played poorly in September. You can't sugarcoat this. This is awful. We did it to
