Share this: The Cleveland Indians’ Terry Francona and Los Angeles Dodgers’ Dave Roberts have been voted the American League and National League Managers of the Year, respectively, by the Baseball Writers’ Association of America. Francona, who also won the award in 2013, led the Indians to the AL Central title with a 94-67 record, and although the postseason isn’t considered for the award, he certainly backed it up by coming just one victory shy of winning the World Series. Francona received 22 first-place votes, and led overall with 128 points. The Texas Rangers’ Jeff Banister and Baltimore Orioles’ Buck Showalter rounded out the top three, respectively.
