Rins undergoes successful surgery – Tsuda in for Jerez

Davide Brivio – Team Manager: “We are very happy that Alex surgery went well. This is the most important thing. Starting now he is facing a recovery period, but we are awaiting his comeback to 100% and we will be eager to have him back on our GSX-RR so he can display all the talent he has inside. Meanwhile, unfortunately, we have to replace him. And for Jerez we decided to give his bike to Takuya Tsuda, our test rider who will have his first opportunity to get real race experience. We will try to use the occasion to further the development of the bike. I would like to wish a fast and good recovery to Alex. We will be

Dale Earnhardt Jr. Looked Ridiculous, Got Flipped Off On Recent Bike Ride

Share this: Things can get pretty nasty on the track for NASCAR drivers. And, at least for Dale Earnhardt Jr., even an average bike ride can lack cordial behavior. During a Tuesday edition of Earnhardt’s “Dale Jr. Download” podcast, the Hendrick Motorsports driver talked about a recent bike ride he went on with teammate Jimmie Johnson, during which Earnhardt was given the  finger by a passing driver. To make matters worse for Earnhardt, he had to wear an outfit that made him feeling a little self-conscious. Folger hits the top four: fastest rookie at Phillip Island

Jonas Folger, P4: "Today was another good day and we can head home feeling positive for the future and happy about what we accomplished at Phillip Island. This morning, I got straight to work and I was able to cut my lap time further, which was a strong start. After that, the team and I tried a lot of settings on the bike but I was never 100% sure about which direction was the best one to take, despite the rhythm being quite good. Then, I started a race simulation but after three or four laps, I crashed at turn six. I returned to the track on my second bike that had a different setting, and after completing eleven laps

Some positives, some negatives for Crutchlow

“We now have another two days of testing left, where we hope we can improve the package we have even further. We had some more things we wanted to try today but didn’t manage to get done, however I felt good riding the bike and felt at ease. We know what the team and I are capable of doing around this circuit, and I feel that if we had the race again tomorrow we would be in a similar position. I’m happy with that, but we still need to work hard because I still think we can have a better feeling with this bike.” Source link

Pedrosa: “You learn from every situation”

DP26: “It’s still early to say; it’s an important change but it’s not defined 100%. We’re still waiting to know which tyre will be confirmed, because Michelin are still testing. It’s how you grip the ground – you can invent anything on the bike but if you have a tyre made of wood, it’s not going to grip. Then if they give you a good tyre, 90% is in place. That’s why it’s so important – it’s what gives confidence, and takes it away.” Source link

Lorenzo: "I'm counting down the days to Sepang!"

JL99: “It was a big shock. More than anything, before getting on the bike, seeing the garage all in red with different people and sponsors…It made a big impact on me, but I got used to it bit by bit. Getting on the bike made a big impact too, because there are a lot of differences compared to my previous bike. But I saw there were a lot of positives, as well as some things to improve. Source link
