Playing it safe: Marquez doesn’t gamble

Initially taking the right chance has been something Marquez and his crew have mastered, ever since their hiccup at the Australian Grand Prix in 2013. Last season, it was at Brno where he eclipsed the field by over 12 seconds after pitting early, and, in 2016 at the Sachsenring, the number 93 and his Repsol Honda crew out-smarted their rivals by doing the same thing – pitting at exactly the right time.  Source link

ADAC Northern Europe Cup gears up for Brno

Georgi's Freudenberg Racing team-mate, Walid Khan Soppe (17, NED) finds himself in a similar situation. He has consistently achieved good results in the last few races and is second in the GP rankings with 96 points, followed by Kevin Orgis (17, GER) on 93. They are both of contesting the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup this season, and like Georgi, are not allowed to participate in the ADAC NEC race, giving their rival, Jan-Ole Jähnig (16, GER), a free run. Jähnig booked his first pole position at the Sachsenring, is fourth with 87 points and can't wait to secure his maiden podium in the ADAC Northern Europe Cup. Source link

Private Summer Testing: Last push before Brno

Riders can use the time to test new parts that are potentially introduced into their racing package at any point during the season, and all without revealing their true potential, with lap times not usually made available. And yet, the paddock heads to Brno this weekend with Ducati restored as a winning force in the MotoGP™ World Championship, as the darks days were quickly forgotten by Andrea Iannone’s brilliant win: a Spielberg thriller at the Red Bull Ring in Austria. KTM continue progress in Brno

Karel Abraham (Test Rider MotoGP): “Two days ago rain was forecast for the test, but we were able to use 100% of the track time and we even rode through the noon break. In addition I achieved my personal goal concerning lap times. We tried very many things and I hope I was able to again deliver a lot of info to the team so that we make another good step forward when I return for my next test. For me the test stint was very tiring but I’m very happy with the performance and thankful that the team achieved so much between the tests and here onsite.”The KTM MotoGP™ Factory Racing Team now travel
