Drew Brees Lit Into ‘Thursday Night Football’ After Slew Of Saints Injuries

Drew Brees is not a fan of playing on Thursday night. The New Orleans Saints suffered a tough 20-17 loss to the Atlanta Falcons Thursday, but as concerning for the Saints was the loss of five players due to injury. Having played just four days prior against the Carolina Panthers, the Saints quarterback was irate about the quick turnaround. “It’s 100 percent a product of playing on Thursday night,” Brees told reporters after being asked if the injuries could be attributed to the short rest. “Do you understand what guys’ bodies go through, you know, in a game? And to have to turn around four days later and to play, look at the injury studies,

Sidney Crosby Better Than Tom Brady? Pittsburgh Newspaper Poses Question

Share this: It isn’t even technically summer yet, but we apparently already have reached the dog days of sports debates. The Penguins won their third Stanley Cup in nine seasons, leading Joshua Axelrod of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette to debate with himself if Sidney Crosby is better than New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. Don’t worry, Axelrod wasn’t asking if Crosby is a better football (no) or hockey (hopefully) player than Brady. He was trying to figure out who is the best player in North American professional sports. His list was narrowed down to Crosby, Brady and LeBron James. Ultimately (spoiler alert), Axelrod gave the nod to Brady because the QB “is currently in the conversation for being the greatest ever at the most valuable

Red Sox Notes: Josh Rutledge’s Glove Might Make Him A Regular In Boston’s Lineup

Share this: On a night when he got the start because of his defense, Josh Rutledge made the most of his time at the plate. The Boston Red Sox third baseman got the start Saturday night against the Detroit Tigers because he is reliable with the glove, and Pablo Sandoval has struggled with routine plays this season. With Chris Sale on the mound for Boston, it seemed prudent for manager John Farrell to start Rutledge after Sandoval struggled in the field behind lefty Brian Johnson on Friday night. But while Rutledge did his job in the field during the Red Sox’s 11-3 win at Fenway Park on Saturday, he made his presence known with his bat more than his glove. The 28-year-old infielder reached base

Patriots Fans Are Purchasing Insane Amounts Of Super Bowl LI Merchandise

Share this: It’s no secret New England Patriots fans are pretty obsessed with their team, but Fanatics has the numbers to prove it. The Patriots’ recent Super Bowl LI win over the Atlanta Falcons was special for a few reasons. For starters, New England pulled off the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history after the game went into overtime for the first time ever. It also was the Patriots’ fifth Super Bowl win, tying the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers for second-most. That likely is a big reason why Fanatics, which sells licensed sports merchandise and clothing, is seeing Super Bowl LI merch flying off the shelves much quicker than products for the Patriots’ last win in Super Bowl XLIX. Here’s what Fanatics reported

Lorenzo: "I'm counting down the days to Sepang!"

JL99: “It was a big shock. More than anything, before getting on the bike, seeing the garage all in red with different people and sponsors…It made a big impact on me, but I got used to it bit by bit. Getting on the bike made a big impact too, because there are a lot of differences compared to my previous bike. But I saw there were a lot of positives, as well as some things to improve. Source link
