Share this: Mitch Moreland is starting to heat up. The Boston Red Sox first baseman went yard Thursday night against the Oakland Athletics, and he one-upped himself Friday night. The Red Sox were locked in a scoreless tie with the A’s during the fourth inning when Moreland came to the plate with a runner on second and one out. Moreland got a cutter from A’s starter Kendall Graveman and he cranked it over the right-field fence for a two-run home run. The home run was Moreland’s fourth of the year and went a long way. The Red Sox certainly hope Moreland stays hot. Thumbnail photo via Stan Szeto/USA TODAY Sports Images More Stories Source link

Marcus Smart Putback Dunk Caps 13-4 Run For Celtics In Game 1 Vs. Cavs
Share this: BOSTON — One of the greatest strengths Marcus Smart brings to the Boston Celtics is his energy. That was evident in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals at TD Garden on Wednesday night. Smart then capped a 13-4 run to end the frame with a powerful putback dunk as the Celtics trimmed Cleveland’s lead to under 20 to start the fourth quarter. Fenati hails positive Valencia test
Romano Fenati (Marinelli Rivacold Snipers) got 2017 off to a good start at the recent private Valencia tests for Moto2™ and Moto3™, setting the fourth fastest time and putting in a good consistent number of fast laps before the end of Day 2 - after Day 1 saw little action for the lightweight class due to high winds. Ending 2016 in the top ten in the standings despite not racing after parting ways with his previous team before the end of the season, Fenati’s aim for 2017 is clear: top three finishes and the title. Isaiah Thomas Earns Michael Jordan, Larry Bird Comparison, And It’s Justified
Share this: First, a disclaimer: Isaiah Thomas isn’t the same basketball player as Michael Jordan or Larry Bird — nowhere close, in fact. But that didn’t stop Toronto Raptors coach Dwane Casey from mentioning the Boston Celtics point guard in the same breath as the two NBA legends. “He’s a great player,” Casey told reporters Wednesday, via MassLive.com. “I’m sure if you remember Larry Bird, they went to him a lot in the fourth quarter. Michael Jordan, they went to him a lot in the fourth quarter and back in the day a lot of those great players — Dirk Nowitzki — didn’t get started until later in the game and had to get revved up. And when it’s money time, those players
