Celtics Wrap: Celtics Use Strong Defensive Effort To Down Warriors

The Boston Celtics snapped out of their recent funk with a marquee win Wednesday night against the Golden State Warriors at Oracle Arena. Boston held the Warriors to a season-low 86 points in a 99-86 victory that showcased the Celtics’ defensive grit. The game was tight until midway through the fourth quarter when the Celtics’ defense sparked a 15-0 run to blow the game open. All-Star point guard Isaiah Thomas led the C’s with 25 points, while Kelly Olynyk added 17 off the bench. Klay Thompson scored 25 points for the Warriors and Stephen Curry chipped in with 23, but the electric backcourt didn’t get enough help to overcome Boston’s s... NESN.com

Missed Opportunities Turn Into Lack Of Offense For Bruins, Lose 4-2 To Senators

Share this: The Boston Bruins were not in sync on Monday night in Ottawa as they fell to the Ottawa Senators 4-2. The Bruins had no execution and poor decision making throughout the entire game. Head coach Bruce Cassidy talked with NESN’s Jack Edwards and Andy Brickley after the game and gave credit to the Senators for creating turnovers in the neutral zone that prevented the Bruins from creating opportunities. Cassidy also said that the Bruins did not capitalize on creating traffic and anxiety around the net in the offensive zone contributing to the lack of scoring Monday night. Warriors’ Draymond Green Blasts Knicks For MSG’s Music-Free First Half

Share this: The New York Knicks elected to play the first half of Sunday’s game against the Golden State Warriors without music playing in Madison Square Garden, and one Warrior wasn’t pleased about the change to the in-game atmosphere. Forward Draymond Green felt that the decision was “pathetic,” according to ESPN’s Chris Haynes. “That was pathetic. It was ridiculous,” Green said, per Haynes. “It changed the flow of the game. It changed everything. You get used to playing a certain way. It completely changed it.” The Warriors’ star forward blamed the quiet atmosphere for the sloppy first half between the two clubs. “Did you see that first half?,” Green asked. “It was just bad, sloppy, all over the place. There was no rhythm to the game.

Bruins Wrap: Ryan Spooner’s Goal Gives Bruins 3-2 Win Vs. Devils

Share this: The Boston Bruins did exactly what they needed to do Saturday night against the New Jersey Devils. The B’s never trailed against the lowly Devils, and Ryan Spooner broke a 2-2 tie at the 8:18 mark in the third period to send the crowd at TD Garden home happy. Carlos Asuaje’s Mom Tweets At Padres To Check On Her Son During Game

Carlos Asuaje’s Mom Tweets At Padres To Check On Her Son During Game

All of our parents embarrass us at some point in our lives, but it usually doesn’t happen during a Major League Baseball game. Second baseman Carlos Asuaje, who was among the players the Boston Red Sox shipped to San Diego for closer Craig Kimbrel ahead of the 2016 season, started for the Padres on Wednesday in their split-squad spring training game against the Colorado Rockies. The 25-year-old still is pretty new to the big leagues — he made his MLB debut and appeared in just seven games last season — so his mother apparently has been keeping a close eye on him. So when Asuaje was taken out of the game, which wasn’t televised,

Should Dwight Howard Have Been Ejected From Celtics-Hawks? NBA Says No

Share this: The Atlanta Hawks proved they didn’t need Dwight Howard to steamroll the Boston Celtics on Monday night. But does that mean the Hawks center deserved to get tossed? Howard already had been assessed one technical foul at TD Garden for giving Al Horford a hearty shove early in the third quarter. Later in the period, Howard gave a little extra flourish on a putback dunk, letting out a yell as he did a half chin-up on the rim. The refs didn’t like that, either, and hit him with another technical. By NBA rule, two technical fouls in a game is an automatic ejection, meaning Howard’s night ended prematurely. The Hawks, of course, were outraged, arguing that Howard’s dunk was nothing more than an

Richard Sherman Reveals Message From Tom Brady While Posting Jersey Collection

Share this: Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman has a game-worn Tom Brady jersey. And no, it’s not THAT jersey, so feel cross him off the list of suspects. Sherman posted an Instagram picture of his collection of game-worn jerseys exchanged with other NFL players, and included was a home jersey of the New England Patriots quarterback. The sleeve of an Odell Beckham, Jr. jersey obstructs Brady’s full message to Sherman, but from what we can see, it says, “RS – I’M STILL … YOU ARE THE BEST!” Brady is 1-2 in his career against the Seahawks since Sherman was drafted in 2011. Of course, that win was in Super Bowl XLIX. Brady and Sherman shook hands after that game. Sherman caused a stir after the Seahawks beat
