Lakers’ Kentavious Caldwell-Pope Tries, Fails At Alley-Oop To Himself

Friendly reminder to Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: you are not LeBron James. The Los Angeles Lakers guard tried to channel the King during his team’s 121-106 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday. During the third quarter, Pope put on his fancy pants and tried to alley-oop the ball to himself off the backboard. But as you’ll see in the video below, he failed miserably. Shame. The only scenario in which this would be acceptable is if the shot clock were running out and Pope’s options were limited. But there were 10 seconds left on the clock, so he really has no excuse. With the loss, the Lakers dropped to 11-23 on the season, good... NESN.com

MM93: “I’m trying to keep it ‘Marquez style’!”

“It’s good,” affirms the Repsol Honda rider. “It’s good to start the weekend with a good feeling with the bike, we did a lot of work for the race, with the tyres. We did a lot of laps to understand th bike balance. At the moment I’m trying to keep my style, Marquez style, and forget about the others. I didn’t care if someone was following me, I was working for my race and for my points.” On the crash, the number 93 laughed it off: “I had a small crash in the last lap of FP2, we can say it’s a normal crash or a standard crash!” Source link

Crutchlow: “This is what MotoGP is all about”

“It was a good race,” says Crutchlow. “Obviously I would have preferred to have repeated the performance from last year or be on the podium, but I felt good in the race. Not the best because I didn’t know if I was even going to race after a hard fall this morning. I didn’t feel great. Normally I’m the guy who will get up from a crash and I did that this morning, maybe I shouldn’t have!” Source link

Lowes: “My target is to win the Moto2 title”

SL22: “We had a good test at Misano, I only did 40 laps because of my injured foot from Brno, which is still damaged so I didn’t do too much but it’s a track that I like and I’ve done a bit there on a MotoGP bike. I look forward to it and it’s the team’s home race which is always nice. I love Misano, I can’t wait to get there. For me now the goal is to get closer to the front, get in the points and try and sneak a top ten before the end of the season. Keep plugging away, enjoy it as much as I can, and give everything, every lap so I’m in good stead
