Redding: “It wasn’t looking good until the race”

Scott Redding, P8: “I’m really, really happy with the result in the race, I didn’t expect that. We struggled a lot all weekend and I pushed hard all the weekend but I never felt comfortable. I struggled a lot with the front tyres and even in Warm Up I wasn’t in a good, confident position but we made some changes for the race. It started to work, I had quite good grip from the beginning so I could get the rhythm. So in the end I was happy with the end result. We worked hard and it wasn’t looking good until the race, we were thinking if we could get top ten it would be a good job. So to

Lorenzo: “I was very satisfied with my second laptime”

Jorge Lorenzo, P5: “We had some problems with the electronics in FP4 and I had to go back on the scooter and take the other bike for the last few minutes, and we used a new tyre so that’s why we were so fast. Then in qualifying I was very satisfied with my second laptime, it was very fast, but the problem was the other riders were so fast! Not only Marc, but also Rossi…impressive laptimes. I expected the front row so when I saw I was fifth I was a bit disappointed because I was very proud of my lap. Yesterday we had some problems – vibration over the bumps and consistency on used tyres. We’ve solved the first

“Very, very fast”: riders weigh in on high-speed Spielberg

Marquez was first to speak – feeling good about the weekend and quietly optimistic it will be an improvement on 2016: “We’ve come straight from Brno to here, and still the good feeling is there with a good feeling in the Monday test. We’ll see, last year it was a weekend where we struggled more, but last year we didn’t test here, and this year we’ve improved our acceleration a bit. Looks like the weather will be unstable so it will be important to always make the right steps, just trying to get the best setup for Sunday. The Red Bull Ring is a really special circuit, hard braking and acceleration. We’ll see if this year we can find the

Rossi: "It's always difficult in a flag-to-flag"

Valentino Rossi, P4: "It is always difficult in these conditions in a flag-to-flag. It for sure isn't our strongest point, this type of racing, but in the end the result is not so bad. We improved a lot from the last flag-to-flag and I finished fourth, but I think that before the end of my career we can defeat this flag-to-flag race situation! Anyway, I think that in a full dry or full wet race I can fight for the podium for sure. It remained a good weekend, because we worked well in the box. I felt good with the bike, that's important, and I was strong on the wet and on the dry. The race was very hard, I

Why Austin Dillon Was Booted From Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s Basketball League

Share this: If you fancy yourself a skilled basketball player, Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s men’s basketball league isn’t the place for you. NASCAR’s most popular driver is the founder, CEO and commissioner of the “Dirty Mo Basketball League,” a three-on-three, halfcourt league comprised (in theory) of average-to-below average ballers. Despite the presence of a few “knock-down shooters,” as Earnhardt puts it, the league is meant for “people that aren’t good at ball.” So what happens when someone shows up and just starts wrecking fools? Well, they get shown the door. “In our league, if you play too good, you get kicked out,” Earnhardt said in Tuesday’s episode of his “Dale Jr. Download” podcast. “Austin Dillon … kicked out’s a strong word, but he was not

Red Sox Notes: Drew Pomeranz Has Become Reliable Weapon During Impressive Streak

Share this: What first was a pleasant surprise has quietly become the expected for the Boston Red Sox. Drew Pomeranz, who once was thought to be the weak link in the Red Sox’s starting rotation, turned in another rock-solid start in Wednesday’s 5-1 win over the Toronto Blue Jays at Fenway Park. The Red Sox left-hander now has delivered nine quality starts in his last 11 outings. Pomeranz is 7-1 in those starts with a 2.57 ERA, and the Red Sox have accumulated a 9-2 record in his starts since he lasted only four innings against the Oakland Athletics on May 20. And Wednesday was no different. While Pomeranz didn’t have his best stuff, the lefty was able to work around five walks and get
