He’s certainly the most entertaining quote, making his stall a must-visit after any Patriots game. After New England rallied to knock off the New York Jets 22-17 on Sunday at MetLife Stadium, Bennett was asked whether the Patriots’ offense remained optimistic during a less-than-stellar first half featuring three punts, one missed field goal and just 10 points scored. “That’s the only way to look at it — you just expect to move the ball,” the Patriots tight end said. “It’s not like, ‘Oh, let’s hope.’ We don’t hope to move the ball. Ray Lewis Apologizes To Joe Flacco After Questioning Ravens QB’s Passion
Share this: Ray Lewis’ playing days — and days as an ESPN NFL analyst — are over, but he’s still finding ways to stir up controversy. The former Baltimore Ravens linebacker, known for speaking his mind, did just that last week on the topic of quarterback Joe Flacco. In an appearance on FOX Sports 1’s “Speak For Yourself,” Lewis questioned Flacco’s passion for the game. “There is something called talent, right?” Lewis said. “And you see it a dime a dozen. And then there’s something called being passionate about what you do. About really what you do. And being around it — gifted? Absolutely. Passionate about what he (does)? I’ve never seen that. I don’t know what that looks like.” They’re interesting comments from Lewis,
Tim Tebow Gets Brutal Assessment From Scouts After Arizona Fall League
Tim Tebow sure is trying to make this baseball thing work, but so far, that’s just not happening. The former NFL quarterback signed with the New York Mets in September and has been playing in the Arizona Fall League, where he put up a .194/.296/.242 slash line with three doubles, no home runs and 20 strikeouts in 19 games. And with those numbers came pretty rough assessments from major league scouts. Here’s what a few had to say, via the New York Post: “Awful,” one American League scout said. “Stinks,” one National League scout said. “Ugly,” another executive said. “In the field and at the plate, nothing looks natu... Marquez: “Very long day!”
Marc Marquez (P4): “It has been a very long test day, because when the bikes are new, it takes a lot of time to make changes and get back out on track. We only did one stint with the bike we used in the Grand Prix, to see what condition the track was in, and then we started to work on the new bike. As a rider, it's a bit boring because I had to wait a long time in the garage because with everything being new the engineers have to adjust a lot of things along the way, but finally we were able to try several solutions. Let's see if tomorrow we can continue improving and make the most
Japan Baseball’s Shohei Otani Crushes Ball Into Dome Roof; Could MLB Be Next?
Shohei Otani’s pitching skills make him a hot commodity in the baseball world, but his slugging ability could make him a legend. The Japanese baseball star hit a ball into the roof of the Tokyo Dome on Sunday in Japan’s 12-10 exhibition win over the Netherlands. Per Tokyo Dome rules, umpires awarded Otani a double. But the stunned looks on the faces of his Japan teammates suggest he’s a special talent. Ex-New York Yankees slugger Hideki Matsui struck a ball into the roof of the famous venue in 2002. While Otani appears to be following in the footsteps of Japanese baseball Giants, he actually could be blazing his own trail. Otani,
