Malcolm Butler Signs Patriots’ First-Round Tender, Now Can Be Traded

Share this: Cornerback Malcolm Butler officially is under contract with the New England Patriots. Butler signed the first-round tender given to him by the Patriots on Tuesday. That means he won’t be signed to a restricted free-agent offer sheet by another team. The Patriots now can discuss Butler in trades. Prior to Butler signing, discussing him in trades was against NFL rules. The New Orleans Saints hosted Butler on a free-agent visit last month. If Butler isn’t traded, he will play in 2017 on a one-year $3.91 million deal unless he and the Patriots agree to a long-term contract. Share this: Lindsey Vonn broke her arm really badly three weeks ago. Just take a look for yourself. Judging by her broken arm pull ups, I wouldn’t bet against her reaching her goal. Thumbnail photo via Sergei Belski/USA TODAY Sports Images More Stories Source link

Cowboys Running Back Felix Jones Could Miss One Month With High-Ankle Sprain

by Nick Koop on Mon, Oct 17, 2011 at 9:56PM   As if the Dallas Cowboys weren't having enough problems, it now looks like they will be without starting running back Felix Jones for as long as a month. Jones injured his ankle during the first half of the Cowboys loss to the Patiots on Sunday and could miss substantial time, according to a report on NFL.com. Jones has been already ruled out for next Sunday's game against the Rams. This is not the first time Jones has been hurt this season. He dislocated his shoulder in a Week 2 win over the 49ers, but he has played through the injury. The injury means DeMarco Murray and Tashard Choice will receive the
