Repsol and Honda extend their contract through to 2020

The Spanish energy company and the Japanese manufacturer renew MotoGP alliance to reach 25 year anniversary in 2019 Repsol and Honda have extended their contract in MotoGP for a further two years, thus consolidating an alliance based on technological collaboration and commemorating its twenty-fifth anniversary in 2019. In 1995, Repsol and Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) joined forces for a project that will be next year celebrating a quarter-century in motorcycle racing. MotoGP™ delivers record-breaking digital figures

MotoGP™ has revealed record-breaking digital figures for 2017 after revamping its digital strategy through a partnership with cloud-based video specialist Grabyo. The global motorcycling series has seen its digital fanbase grow to more than 22 million, while it also recorded over a billion video views during the 2017 season, double the previous campaign, and more than 380 million engagements. The improved following largely owes to MotoGP™’s increased focus on social video and live streaming, with its own VideoPass over-the-top (OTT) service already providing fans with coverage of its races. MotoGP™18 now on sale!

Kicking off on July 18th, the MotoGP™ eSport Championship will see eight online challenges, with two semi-final live events and the Grand Final in November, live from Valencia. The live Semi-Final 1 event will take place at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli on September 7th and will feature the fastest 12 gamers. Bagnaia and Canet fastest on Day 1 in Jerez

Bagnaia, who recently signed a deal to step-up to MotoGP™ with Alma Pramac Racing in 2019, topped the first Moto2™ session and was the only rider in the 1:42 bracket before the rain came down.
