There’s been a growing list of NFL players protesting the national anthem this season, and not everyone is happy about it. Several Miami Dolphins players recently continued a trend started by San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, as four Dolphins, led by running back Arian Foster, took a knee during the playing of “The Star-Spangled Banner” to protest racial inequality in America. The Dolphins plan to protest again before their Week 2 matchup against the Patriots in New England, but if they do, things could get contentious. Per the Miami Herald, local Miami police plans to stop providing escorts for players before home games until the ... NESN.com

NFL Team Officials Liken Colin Kaepernick To Traitor: ‘F–k That Guy’
Share this: Remember Ray Rice, Michael Vick, Aaron Hernandez, Adrian Peterson, Greg Hardy and the countless other NFL players linked to heinous crimes? Well, apparently Colin Kaepernick is worse than all of them, if you ask some NFL front office executives. The Internet takes on Kaepernick not standing for the national anthem are hotter than Phoenix in July, and apparently a few executives have pretty similar feelings of outrage toward the San Francisco 49ers quarterback. Bleacher Report NFL writer Mike Freeman asked numerous executives about their thoughts on Kaepernick’s decision not to stand during the anthem as a form of protest against the recent killings of African Americans by police, and their distaste for Kaepernick was pretty glaring. “I don’t want him anywhere near my team,” an executive
Angry 49ers Fan Burns Colin Kaepernick Jersey While Playing National Anthem
Share this: For some reason, people are still talking about Colin Kaepernick exercising his constitutional rights to freedom of speech. In case you’ve been living under a rock this weekend, the San Francisco 49ers quarterback didn’t stand up for the national anthem before Friday’s preseason game. It’s not the first time Kaepernick has done it (some reports claim he did it all last season), but rather the first time anyone noticed or took issue with it. His comments after the game explaining why are causing outrage across the Internet. This fan took it to a new level, though, and performed the incredibly cliche Internet act of burning Kaepernick’s jersey. He then turned the national anthem on and saluted the jersey (presumably, because there’s
National Look-Alike Day 2016: The Best Athlete-Celebrity Doppelgangers
It’s April 20, which can only mean one thing: It’s National Look-Alike Day. You might not be familiar with the under-the-radar holiday, which is rather self-explanatory. Admit it. You’ve watched a sporting event in the past and thought to yourself, “Wow, that person looks familiar.” And it’s not because you’ve seen that athlete perform several times before. It’s because he or she resembles someone else you’ve come across. Many times, ...

Ronaldinho eyes return to Brazil national team
Flamengo playmaker Ronaldinho has outlined his desire to become a permanent fixture of the Brazil squad again, insisting he can "make a positive contribution to the national team". GettyImagesRonaldinho last played for Brazil in a friendly last November Ronaldinho, 31, was omitted from former coach Dunga's 2010 World Cup squad after a season in which he failed to demonstrate his form and fitness on a regular basis with AC Milan. But the two-time World Player of the Year was given hope of reigniting his international career by current Selecao boss Mano Menezes when he was selected for a friendly against Argentina last November and despite not featuring since, Ronaldinho believes he still has plenty to offer at the highest level.
