Senators’ Craig Anderson Denies Three Bruins Shot Attempts In Crazy Sequence

Share this: The Boston Bruins were hard-pressed for goals on Monday night against the Ottawa Senators. The Senators took full advantage of the B’s sluggish performance, which in turn caused for Boston to be on the defense for much of the night. The Bruins did have a tremendous chance to score in the first period, when Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron and David Backes got shots on net in a wild sequence. However, Senators netminder Craig Anderson remarkably turned away all the shot attempts, continuing Boston’s offensive frustrations. To see the DCU Save of the Day, check out the video above. Missed Opportunities Turn Into Lack Of Offense For Bruins, Lose 4-2 To Senators

Share this: The Boston Bruins were not in sync on Monday night in Ottawa as they fell to the Ottawa Senators 4-2. The Bruins had no execution and poor decision making throughout the entire game. Head coach Bruce Cassidy talked with NESN’s Jack Edwards and Andy Brickley after the game and gave credit to the Senators for creating turnovers in the neutral zone that prevented the Bruins from creating opportunities. Cassidy also said that the Bruins did not capitalize on creating traffic and anxiety around the net in the offensive zone contributing to the lack of scoring Monday night. What Patriots Typically Value At Offensive Line In NFL Scouting Combine

Share this: Running backs will draw most of the attention at the NFL Scouting Combine on Friday, but the offensive linemen deserve some attention, too. The Patriots certainly have a type when it comes to running backs, but their drafting trends are less obvious at offensive tackle and along the interior offensive line. The Patriots generally draft heavier offensive tackles with above-average lateral quickness, vertical explosion and strength. Many would assume the Patriots prefer more athletic offensive tackles because of Nate Solder and Sebastian Vollmer, but that historically hasn’t been the case. At guard and center, the Patriots value athleticism much more highly. Guards and centers drafted by the Patriots have above average speed, agility and lateral quickness. Starting guards Joe Thuney and Shaq Mason
