David Price ended June scorching hot, but the month of July hasn’t been as kind to the Boston Red Sox left-hander. In two July starts, Price has given up 12 earned runs in eight innings. He took the loss in an 11-1 thumping at the hands of the New York Yankees to open the month. The Red Sox’s bats got him off the hook in his last outing against the Kansas City Royals, a game in which Price gave up four runs in 4 2/3 innings and hit three consecutive batters. The lefty will look to bounce back Thursday night when the Red Sox

The Cleveland Cavaliers’ plan to honor Kyrie Irving on Tuesday night never came to fruition. It was revealed Monday that the Cavs had a tribute video in store for Irving, who spent his first six NBA seasons in Cleveland before being traded to the Boston Celtics during the offseason. The video, which was expected to be shown during Tuesday’s season opener against Boston, reportedly highlighted Irving’s accomplishments during his time with the franchise. It will be an exciting night Thursday when the New England Patriots kick off the 2017 NFL season with a matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. Yankees Troll Red Sox With Clever Tweet After Pair Of Convincing Wins
Share this: The New York Yankees took it to the Boston Red Sox in the final two games of their three-game series, and they decided to poke fun at their American League East rival afterward. After the Red Sox took the series opener 5-4 on Tuesday, the Yankees throttled Boston in the next two contests by a combined score of 17-1, including Thursday’s 9-1 rout. And following the series-clinching win, the Yankees fired off a pretty clever tweet in a well-executed troll effort. The tweet, of course, is a play on the Red Sox’s “Win, Dance, Repeat” slogan following Boston victories. Unfortunately for the Sox, they only got to show off their dance moves one time in their first trip to Yankee Stadium this season. Boston

Liverpool Moves To Third In Premier League With 3-1 Win Over Everton
Share this: Goals from Sadio Mane, Philippe Coutinho and Divock Origi earned Liverpool a 3-1 Merseyside Derby victory over Everton at Anfield on Saturday afternoon. Brilliant individual efforts from Mane and Coutinho in the first half, along with Origi’s powerful strike on the hour mark, saw the Reds move up to third in the Premier League by completing the double over their neighbors this season. Everton had briefly drawn level through Matthew Pennington following Mane’s early opener, but Coutinho responded immediately to make sure the hosts went in ahead at the interval. Mane was forced off with an apparent ankle injury soon after halftime, however, Origi, the No. 19’s replacement, sealed all three points for Liverpool with a fine finish just minutes after coming
