Colts Fans Plan To Taunt Tom Brady, Patriots In Dumbest Way Imaginable

A group of Indianapolis Colts fans are about to do something really dumb — perhaps wasting a lot of money in the process — in the hopes of rattling quarterback Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Good luck with that. A reader recently sent Barstool Sports an email relaying a separate email stating that Colts fans plan to fly a blimp over Lucas Oil Stadium next Sunday when New England and Indianapolis square off in a Week 6 rematch of last season’s AFC Championship Game. The blimp apparently will display the message, #DeflateThisBrady, a clear play on the Patriots’ Deflategate scandal. There’s even a video to accompany the sa...

Steelers O-Lineman: ‘Kudos’ To Patriots For Thinking Of Goal-Line Shift

The New England Patriots are known for their clever way of essentially finding loopholes in the NFL rule book. Just ask the Baltimore Ravens. But their latest victims were the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers were called for a false start on 3rd-and-goal on the Patriots’ 1-yard line during the fourth quarter of New England’s 28-21 win Thursday night. Left tackle Kelvin Beachum and left guard Ramon Foster moved when New England’s defensive line shifted during Ben Roethlisberger’s snap count. And the Pittsburgh quarterback wasn’t happy. “I thought that there was a rule against that,” Roethlisberger said, per USA TODAY Sports. ...

Patriots Injuries Allow Jonas Gray, James White To Shine In Preseason Loss

FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots’ once-crowded backfield is looking pretty roomy these days. Tyler Gaffney was added to injured reserve Thursday, and Brandon Bolden, Travaris Cadet, LeGarrette Blount and Dion Lewis sat out of the Patriots’ preseason opener against the Green Bay Packers with injuries. That left just Jonas Gray, James White and recently signed rookie Tony Creecy to take every snap in the Patriots’ backfield. Those injuries gave Gray and White an opportunity to prove they deserve key roles in the Patriots’ offense this season, and they stepped up. Gray ran for 74 yards on seven carries, including a 55-yard touch...

Wiz Khalifa Performs At Patriots Super Bowl Ring Ceremony (Video)

Robert Kraft brought out a heavy-hitter to DJ the New England Patriots’ Super Bowl XLIX championship ring ceremony. Rapper, and (former?) Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Wiz Khalifa performed at the event, hosted by Kraft. With the Patriots preparing to open their season against the Steelers, it’s unlikely Khalifa spun his track “Black and Yellow” at the party. Check out video and photos of Khalifa hanging with current and former Patriots on Sunday night: Thumbnail photo via Twitter/@StevanRidley ...

Wes Welker Backs Tom Brady In Deflategate, Open To Rejoining Patriots

Wes Welker is a 34-year-old free agent who has suffered multiple concussions. But he’s not ready to call it quits just yet. The former New England Patriots wide receiver did a Boston media tour Tuesday morning, appearing on 98.5 The Sports Hub’s “Toucher & Rich” radio show before stopping by WEEI’s “Middays With MFB.” Always the entertaining guest, Welker once again denied rumors he’s retiring and said he’d be open to coming back to New England if the opportunity arose. “I wouldn’t be opposed to it,” Welker told “Toucher & Rich,” via CBSBoston.com. “It’s a great organization, obviously, and a great team. It wouldn...

Patriots Draft Versatile Oklahoma Defender Geneo Grissom 97th Overall

FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots took a versatile defender with the 97th overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft. The Patriots grabbed Oklahoma’s Geneo Grissom, who played outside linebacker, defensive end and tight end during his four-year college career. Grissom ran a 4.81-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine at 6-foot-3, 262 pounds. He ran a 7.24-second three-cone drill and a 4.38-second short shuttle, and added a 9-foot, 9-inch broad jump and 37-inch vertical leap. Grissom had 89 tackles (17 for loss) and eight sacks during his career with the Sooners. He also had two interceptions, two forced fumbles, three fumble ...

Cialis Commercial Parody Should Help Patriots With Deflated Balls (Video)

Help is on the way for those suffering from deflated balls. The folks over at Benstonium.com are taking full advantage of the “DeflateGate” mess, creating a new commercial parody on the same day ESPN reported a league investigation found 11 of the 12 balls the New England Patriots used in their 45-7 rout of the Indianapolis Colts were under-inflated. The rest of the sports world can go on debating what this actually means for Bill Belichick and the Pats — while trying not to giggle every time they say balls — but we’re going to go ahead and laugh at the crazy with these guys. Deflated balls won’t be a problem for the Pats anymore with the revolutionary drug
