NEW YORK — The Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees dealt with a light delay Friday. A bank of lights along the facade at Yankee Stadium went out in the bottom of the 12th inning, prompting the umpires to pull the Red Sox off the field as they sorted things out. The delay lasted approximately 16 minutes. The Yankees later announced there had been a power surge throughout the ballpark. The darkness was hardly noticeable, yet play was stopped. Fortunately, the Yankees fans who stuck around had some fun with the dilemma by breaking out their cell phones as an additional source of light.

Jameis Winston’s Fumble Sparks Awesome Internet Photoshops (Photos)
Jameis Winston and the Internet: A match made in heaven. The Florida State quarterback always has provided fodder for the creative folks of the World Wide Web (we all remember those fantastic crab leg photoshops). During the Rose Bowl, though, Winston might have given his best gift yet. In the third quarter of Thursday’s college football semifinal against Oregon, Winston coughed a fumble in embarrassing fashion when he slipped and fell backwards, allowing the Ducks to recover the ball and race the other way for a touchdown. After that, the Internet did the rest. Never change, you two. Photo of the Night The NHL’s annual Winter Classic was held at Nationals Park
Pawtucket Red Sox Logos, Uniforms Get New Look For 2015 Season (Photos)
The Pawtucket Red Sox will be looking sharp next season. The Boston Red Sox’s Triple-A affiliate rolled out all new logos and uniforms Friday, and they’re quite different from the ones they used to sport, which essentially mirrored their parent club. The PawSox added some powder blue to the mix of the usual red, navy and white and put an emphasis on the “paw” part of their name. The biggest change probably was to mascot Paws, who got a more realistic — and ferocious — look. Photo of the Night In Greece, a goat invaded a soccer match and tried to play goalkeeper. Tweet
Tom Brady, Vince Wilfork Dress To Impress At Kentucky Oaks (Photos)
The Kentucky Oaks, a stakes race for three-year-old thoroughbred fillies held on the Friday before the Derby, always attracts a large, fashionable crowd. This year, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and defensive tackle Vince Wilfork got in on the action. Wilfork tweeted pictures of himself with his wife and Hall of Fame running back Thurman Thomas. Wilfork sported what looks like an all-linen light blue and white outfit. They also took a group photo that included Brady, who shows off his style just about every year at the Derby. Brady, of course, went with traditional Derby fashion and wore a Panama hat. Check out the photos below.
