Fiorentina, Totti and Tottenham turn heads

Fiorentina's 2-1 victory against Juventus was just one of several notable results for the UEFA Europa League sides over the weekend as the likes of Roma, Tottenham and Manchester United all made headlines. The race for glory in Serie A heated up on Sunday as Fiorentina got the better of champions Juve thanks to goals from Croatian pair Nikola Kalinić and Milan Badelj. Patriots Vs. Texans Inactives: Danny Amendola Back After Four-Game Absence

by Zack Cox on Sat, Jan 14, 2017 at 6:53PM 2,418 Share this: FOXBORO, Mass. — Danny Amendola will make his return to the New England Patriots’ lineup in Saturday’s divisional-round playoff game against the Houston Texans. Amendola, who missed the final four games of the regular season with a high ankle sprain, was not among the seven Patriots inactives announced 90 minutes before kickoff. Fellow wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell headlined that list, as he was ruled out with a knee injury. Safety Jordan Richards, quarterback Jacoby Brissett, tackle LaAdrian Waddle, running back D.J. Foster and cornerbacks Cyrus Jones and Justin Coleman also will not play against the Texans. Amendola, who has not played since Week 13, likely will handle punt-return duties for New England. Boston Bruins Power Play Struggling To Cash In On Scoring Opportunities

Share this: The Boston Bruins rank 27th out of 30 NHL teams in goals scored per game. One reason for that lack of scoring is Boston’s power play having the third-worst success rate in the league at just 13.1 percent. Injuries have played a part in these power-play struggles, but the Bruins also need to do a better job of cashing in on their opportunities with the man advantage. Silverstone: Believe the hype

Movistar Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo had a tough race after weather played havoc with practice, gambling slightly on setup and not able to get into the front group. In that front group, the notable battle behind Viñales saw Rossi and Marc Marquez go head-to-head in a spectacular duel for P3. Marquez, uncharacteristically – for 2016, at least – unleashed, got the better of the Italian and set off after Crutchlow in second – before making a mistake when attacking the Brit and being forced to settle for fourth. Despite missing the podium, the rider from Cervera escaped the battle with a lead of exactly two race wins – 50 points - but Rossi nevertheless gained a little more ground. Source link
