Porsche is trying to build excitement around its upcoming rival for the Tesla Model S. On Monday at the Electric Vehicle Symposium in Stuttgart, Germany, Porsche revealed the Cayman e-volution, an all-electric research car that previews the Mission E, which is set to launch in 2019. Although Porsche didn’t release any information regarding the e-volution’s power output, it revealed that the battery-powered Cayman can accelerate from zero to 100 kph (62 mph) in 3.3 seconds. Porsche Tuner Puts Manual In 911 GT3 RS, Confirming Unicorns Are Real
There are very few absolute truths in the automotive world, but one thing that enthusiasts have begrudgingly accepted as fact is that Porsche won’t make a 911 GT3 RS with a manual transmission. But that doesn’t mean you can’t still have one. Ormond Beach, Fla.-based BGB Motorsports, which runs Porsches in the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge, recently posted pictures and videos of a customer’s GT3 RS that it has almost finished converting to a manual.
