When Porsche revealed the new Panamera Sport Turismo, we joked the wagon made the sedan variant seem pointless. Those words apparently were truer than we even realized. Despite the lack of popularity of wagons in the United States, the Sport Turismo has made a lot of noise since its release, as it improves on the looks of the Panamera 4. The model also is the talk of the town among U.S. dealers, though for a different reason, according to Automotive News. In addition to improving on its appearance, the Sport Turismo also fixed the sedan’s other major problem. It is the first Panamera to be sold with five seats, which reportedly is something dealers ... NESN.com

GM Reportedly Will Deploy World’s Largest Fleet Of Self-Driving Cars
It’s pretty difficult at this point to determine which automaker is the most serious about developing self-driving vehicles in the United States. General Motors, though, might have plans to distance itself from the pack. The U.S. automaker plans to soon deploy 300 Chevrolet Bolts fitted with self-driving technology, Spectrum reported Friday. If true, GM would sport the world’s largest fleet of autonomous vehicles, placing it well ahead of Waymo, which currently owns the largest such fleet at nearly 80 vehicles. GM currently has around 50 driverless cars deployed across San Francisco, Scottsdale, Ariz., and Detroit. In addition to expanding its vehi... NESN.com
Thieves Use Toyota Tacoma As Battering Ram To Break Into Florida Gun Store
Share this: When Toyota’s marketing department thought up the tagline “go anywhere,” this probably wasn’t what it had in mind. Zephyrhills Police Department are trying to identify three suspects who were caught on surveillance cameras ramming a blue Toyota Tacoma into the Sunshine State Armory in Zephyrhills, Fla., on Sunday, according to a press release. The thieves stole an unspecified amount of guns and ammunition from the store before fleeing the scene. Police reportedly received an alarm call at the shop around 2:15 a.m., and the suspects were already gone by the time officers arrived. Pasco Sheriff’s Office later found the Tacoma set on fire in a wooded area. The Tampa Field Office of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is working with local police
Arsonist Might Have Set Fire To Multiple Vans Used For Disabled People
Share this: Arson is a pretty terrible crime no matter the situation. But in certain instances, arson can be about as indefensible as any crime. Two vans used for disabled people were destroyed by fire Wednesday in Marshfield, Mass., according to Wicked Local. The vans belonged to Road to Responsibility, whose CEO believes someone intentionally set fire to the vans. “We have every reason to believe this was arson,” Road to Responsibility CEO Chris White said, via Wicked Local. White, who’s working with Marshfield police to discover what happened, added that surveillance footage is being looked at to help determine a suspect. Road to Responsibility is an organization that specializes in finding work for disabled citizens. The vans, which were wheelchair-accessible, reportedly will cost the
Matt Kenseth’s Car Hits Wall Hard During NASCAR Race At Phoenix Raceway
The track temperature at Phoenix International Raceway on Sunday was a big test of tire management, which Matt Kenseth didn’t pass. Kenseth hit the wall on Lap 192 of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Camping World 500 after his front right tire failed in the middle of Turn 2. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver reportedly was complaining his car was tight throughout most of the race, and attempted to correct that by making a track-bar adjustment on his second pit stop. The problem likley caused too much wear on the front right, though, as it finally gave out once Kenseth put it under heavy load. Thumbnail photo via Jasen Vinlove/USA TODA... NESN.com
Danica Patrick Sponsorship Reportedly Made Nature’s Bakery $11.5M Richer
The war of words between Stewart-Haas Racing and Nature’s Bakery, SHR driver Danica Patrick’s former primary sponsor, doesn’t appear to have an end in sight. As part of a court filing Thursday in its breach of contract suit against Nature’s Bakery, SHR provided a letter in which it claims Patrick brought the health snack foods company nearly $ 4.5 million in television exposure and roughly $ 7 million in estimated internet media exposure in 2016, according to ESPN. After fulfilling just one year of its three-year, $ 45 million sponsorship deal, Nature’s Bakery backed out of the deal in January, citing Patrick’s promotion of competing brands am... NESN.com
