Pablo Sandoval has talked the talk, and now it appears he’s walking the walk. The Boston Red Sox third baseman recently opened up about his disappointing 2016 campaign, admitting he got “complacent” while training for a season that saw him play just three games before being shut down for the rest of the season with a shoulder injury. Yet Sandoval looks like a new man this offseason, and he offered another positive update Friday, posting a series of Instagram Live videos of him lifting weights and running on a treadmill at team facilities in Fort Myers. The videos aren’t embeddable, but here’s a sample, courtesy of Bleacher Report’s St... NESN.com

Shirts Saying Kevin ‘Durant Is A B—-‘ Being Sold Outside TD Garden
Share this: Friday night will mark the first game Kevin Durant has played in Boston since signing with the Golden State Warriors. And if shirts being sold outside TD Garden are any indication, Celtics fans still are salty about Durant choosing the Warriors over the Celtics. The Celtics aggressively pursued the All-Star forward in free agency over the summer, but Durant opted to leave the Oklahoma City Thunder and move further west, and Celtics fans apparently still are holding a grudge. Fair or not, applause surely doesn’t await Durant and the rest of Warriors inside the TD Garden on Friday, which apparently doesn’t bother KD one bit. Patriots Can Put Even More Distance Between Themselves, AFC East With Win
Share this: The New England Patriots can’t officially wrap up a playoff spot with a win Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, but they might as well get a head start on making those AFC East champion shirts if they do. If the Patriots get their revenge against the Bills at New Era Field and improve to 7-1, they will be three games clear of the rest of the division. So there’s certainly plenty on the line in this Week 8 matchup. Hear NESN.com’s Doug Kyed and Butch Stearns of FOX 25 preview Patriots-Bills in the video from “NESN Sports Today,” presented by People’s United Bank, above. More Stories Source link

Xander Bogaerts, Red Sox Look To Improve Playoff Seeding This Weekend
Share this: The Boston Red Sox clinched the American League East this week, but they also were swept by the New York Yankees and are in danger of falling as low as the No. 3 seed. So it was a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to the postseason picture, although Boston can rest assured that it will be playing in October. Stop What You’re Doing And Watch Ohio State’s Noah Brown Make All-Time Great Cat…
Share this: If you aren’t watching the Ohio State-Oklahoma game, you missed one of the best college football plays you’ll ever see. The Buckeyes’ Noah Brown went up to catch a 21-yard touchdown pass with six seconds remaining in the first half, but Sooners defensive back Michiah Quick was all over him and prevented Brown from seeing the ball come his way. But Brown somehow still made an incredible circus catch off Quick’s back, giving his team a 35-17 lead at the half. Oh. My. Goodness. It’s probably safe to say we’ll see that TD reception a few more times the rest of the season — and beyond. Thumbnail photo via Kevin Jairaj/USA TODAY Sports Images More Stories Source link
Lorenzo returns to his land
Before his collarbone break in Assen in 2013, Lorenzo looked on top form as he sought to defend his second crown. Then came the Dutch GP and a wet practice crash, then the incredible display of determination that followed as the Mallorcan raced with the recently operated-on injury. Later in the season, as then-new kid on the block Marquez gained traction, Lorenzo was fighting back to full fitness as the paddock headed for the UK, and the ensuing duel didn't disappoint. After all-out war for pole position that saw the duo dip closer and closer to the possibility of a first 1:59 lap of Silverstone, won by Marquez, the race that followed was a modern classic - the two title
