Chris Sale knew he had his work cut out for him facing a Houston Astros lineup. The Boston Red Sox lefty gave up four runs on six hits in Friday night’s 7-3 loss at Minute Maid Park, but also was familiar with the Astros after facing them twice in the 2017 American League Division Series. After the game, he credited Houston’s offense, saying the team winning the World Series in 2017 speaks to just how good they are. Jalen Rose’s Grandma Trash Talks Sister Jean Ahead Of Final Four Matchup
The No. 11 seeded Loyola-Chicago Ramblers made their first Final Four in 55 years when they defeated No. 9 Kansas State to win the South Region on Saturday. The Ramblers’ incredible run has been due to their disciplined offensive approach and a number of clutch shots by Clayton Custer, Ben Richardson and Marques Townes. And don’t forget about Sister Jean, the team’s 98-year-old chaplain who has served as a good-luck charm throughout Loyola-Chicago’s journey. Sister Jean might have met her match, though, in the form of Jalen Rose’s 100-year-old grandmother Mary Belle Hicks. Hicks sent Sister Jean a message ahead of Loyola-Chicago’s... NESN.com
Kyrie Irving Hilariously Trash Talks John Wall After Missed Dunk
John Wall had to have known that he was going to receive some grief for his loud gaffe Monday night. The TD Garden crowd serenaded Wall with sarcastic applause after the missed dunk, but they weren’t the only ones to get on Wall’s case. On an ensuing possession up the court, Kyrie Irving reminded his cross-court rival of the opportunity he squandered. Although Irving’s snarky remark was pretty funn... NESN.com

Brad Marchand On Bruins Contract Negotiations: ‘It Would Be Great To Be Here’
Share this: Brad Marchand isn’t in a position to talk about his contract extension with the Boston Bruins. That’s partially because he doesn’t have one yet. Marchand led all Bruins in goals scored last season and is entering the final season of his four-year, $18 million contract. The 28-year-old winger recently spoke with the media, and while he couldn’t say much about his contract talks with Boston, he was very complimentary of the only organization he has ever known. Check out what Marchand was able to say about the talks in the NESN “Bruins Face-Off Live Summer Edition” video above. Thumbnail photo via Kim Klement/USA TODAY Sports Images More Stories Source link
