His decision to hang out by home plate while Bryce Harper charged toward pitcher Hunter Strickland was, undeniably, not a great look. But what if, as Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports pondered Tuesday morning, the catcher’s refusal to join the scrap actually a show of support for Strickland, not a sign of disapproval? From Rosenthal: What if Giants reliever Hunter Strickland told Posey that he was going to drill the Nationals’ Bryce Harper — and that Posey should not intervene if Harper charged the mound, not try to prevent a fight? Argentina: The good, the bad and the unlucky
The biggest news, other than the crash for reigning Champion Lorenzo, was undoubtedly the Ducati incident. On the last lap and both looking set for podium finishes, Iannone’s move on his teammate saw him slide out and take ‘DesmoDovi’ with him – as well as 36 points for the team. It was Iannone’s second DNF in succession and saw Dovizioso’s Qatar promise take a hit – although the older Italian heroically lifted up his bike and pushed it to the line, such was the short distance before the flag that the incident happened. It was the second finish on foot of the day in Argentina, after Adam Norrodin did the same after a last lap crash in Moto3™. Source link
Kevin Durant Reveals His Favorite Teammate Ever And It Might Surprise You
Share this: Kendrick Perkins is a popular guy. Not only was Perkins beloved during his seven-plus seasons with the Boston Celtics. But he also formed such a good friendship with Kevin Durant during their time together with the Oklahoma City Thunder that Durant considers Perkins to be his favorite teammate ever. “He would call me after every game, and we’d be on the phone until probably 2 o’clock in the morning. And it’d be a bunch of nothing he’ll be talking to me about,” Durant said during a recent interview with Bill Simmons. “And it was just like, man, that’s my big brother right there. He’s going through something, and he’s calling me. So, I miss those convos.” The Thunder traded Perkins to the

Ashton Eaton wins gold in the decathlon again
By Gerald Imray AP Sports Writer RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — Ashton Eaton retained his title as the best all-around athlete in the world by tying the decathlon Olympic record and, within minutes, had stepped back for track and field’s ultimate superstar to take center stage again. What more could the now two-time Olympic champion Eaton do Thursday night to get just a little sliver of the limelight that beams down so brightly on Usain Bolt? Not much. “I had the pleasure of being in the same era as Usain Bolt,” Eaton said. “I mean, the guy’s last name is Bolt, he’s the fastest man ever, you can’t write a story like that.” You can try. For his own tale, Eaton made it back-to-back Olympic and world
