Entering Monday evening’s tilt in opposition to the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Boston Bruins had been 28-1-Three when coming into the third interval with the lead. Make that 28-2-3. The B’s blew a two-goal lead within the third interval, falling 5-Four to the Presidents Trophy winners. The Lightning are probably the most explosive offense within the NHL, and with the Bruins taking part in down a person on protection after John Moore’s damage, Tampa Bay took benefit, profiting from a number of odd-man rushes. Unfortunately for the B’s, their poor third-period play proved to be the difference in their 3-2 loss at Amalie Arena.
