Yes, Mookie Betts Actually Flew Chris Archer To All-Star Game On Private Jet

Share this: We all knew Mookie Betts can fly. But it turns out he can, you know, actually fly. The Boston Red Sox outfielder began Sunday by blasting a lead-off home run off Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Chris Archer in the final game before Major League Baseball’s All-Star break. Betts and Archer, both 2017 All-Star selections, had to get from Tampa to Miami on Sunday for the All-Star festivities, and Archer posted a photo on social media that night suggesting the two were “plane-pooling,” if you will. Wait, is that Mookie in the cockpit chair? It sure is. Both Betts and Archer, who share the same agent, shared Instagram posts of them in a private Cirrus VisionJet preparing for liftoff to Miami. Onboard Footage Of Flying Lap In Roborace’s Driverless Car Is Spooky

Share this: Driverless race cars aren’t yet faster than actual racing drivers, but they’re still fast enough to make you a feel uneasy while riding along in one. Roborace tweeted a video Wednesday that features onboard footage from its development car, Devbot, during a flying lap of the Tempelhof Airport Street Circuit. The lap was filmed either June 9 or 10, during race weekend for the Formula E Berlin ePrix. Devbot lapped the 10-turn, 1.398-mile circuit in roughly 1 minute, 40 seconds, which might not sound quick. But considering Devbot was nothing more than an idea roughly a year ago. You asked for it and here it is. ➡️ Video of our Development car, Devbot, running an autonomous full lap in Berlin. Enjoy.

#AmericasGP: Michelin preview

Piero Taramasso, Manager of the Two-Wheel Motorsport Group: “COTA is another very demanding circuit and features many changes of direction, slow turns, fast bends and a long straight. There are also hard braking areas and all this together makes for a big challenge for a tyre to cope with. The riders are always demanding the very best and that is always our target- to be able to give the optimum tyre for all riders and bikes to use. We were unable to produce the very good performance that we had hoped for in 2016, but this season we are going there fully prepared – thanks to data we got after last year’s race – and with a range of rubber

ADAC Northern Europe Cup prepare for the season at Misano

29 riders have registered to compete in the ADAC Northern Europe Cup powered by KTM, of which 14 are rookies. Among them is Jan-Ole Jähnig (16, GER), who is now moving up to this higher class after finishing championship runner-up in the ADAC Junior Cup powered by KTM: "Making the switch wasn't easy, but after an initial test run in Hockenheim last year and this series of training days now, we are all set for the season to come. I have to improve on the brakes. I'm not as smooth as I should be. Also, I need to learn to open the throttle sooner when exiting the turns, but overall, I'm quite happy. Conditions here in Misano have been ideal

Red Sox Notes: Disastrous Sixth Inning Turns Tide For Boston In Loss To Royals

Red Sox Notes: Disastrous Sixth Inning Turns Tide For Boston In Loss To Royals

BOSTON — The Red Sox were riding high going into the sixth inning against the Kansas City Royals on Sunday. The club had just turned in a three-run fifth inning to pull ahead of the defending World Series champs, and starter Eduardo Rodriguez, though shaky through the first couple innings, had been getting the Royals to put some weak contact on the ball to hold them at bay from the third on. And then he walked Royals first baseman Eric Hosmer to start the sixth inning. While leadoff walks generally are a bad sign, this one set off a chain reaction. Rodriguez gave up a ground-rule double to designated hitter Kendrys Morales before walking

Red Sox Notes: Andrew Benintendi Turns In Three-Hit Night Vs. Yankees

Share this: BOSTON — It turns out this Andrew Benintendi kid is pretty good after all. The Red Sox won a tough game Tuesday against the New York Yankees behind a stellar effort from starter Rick Porcello, but on the other side of the ball, all eyes were on Benintendi. The 22-year-old left fielder made his Fenway Park debut, and he certainly put on a show. Benintendi went 3-for-3 with an RBI, two runs and a controversial double that was ruled a home run and then overturned after a crew chief review. But not even missing out on his first big league homer by mere inches could spoil Benintendi’s night. “It was fine,” Benintendi said of the ruling. “I was happy with whatever outcome
