Shad Kahn suspects Donald Trump’s history with the NFL is driving his current war on the league. The Jacksonville Jaguars believes the U.S. President is “jealous” of NFL owners and holds a grudge against them due to his failed attempts to buy NFL teams, according to USA TODAY’s Jarrett Bell. Trump has continually attacked NFL owners for not forcing players to stand during the national anthem. “This is a very personal issue with him,” Kahn said Wednesday in New York City following the NFL owners’ meetings. “He’s been elected president, where maybe a great goal he had in life to own an NFL team is not very likely. So to make it tougher, or t... NESN.com

Hope Solo, USWNT Make Peace; What’s Next For Legendary Soccer Goalkeeper?
Might Hope Solo actually resurrect her career with the United States women’s soccer team? The parties have taken the first step toward doing so by settling the grievance Solo filed against the U.S. Soccer Federation after it terminated her contract in 2016, according to The San Francisco Chronicle’s Ann Killon. Solo and U.S. Soccer reached the settlement last month, thus avoiding arbitration, but the legendary USA goalkeeper only announced it Thursday in a statement saying she and U.S. Soccer “have amicably resolved the matter and are moving forward in a positive way,” per Killon. U.S. Soccer in August 2016 suspended Solo six months then... NESN.com

U.S. Soccer Is Forcing All Players To Stand During National Anthem
Share this: U.S. Soccer is putting its foot down on national anthem protests. The national federation has instituted a new policy that requires all players representing a U.S. national team, both men’s and women’s, to “stand respectfully” during the national anthem before games. U.S. Soccer’s board of directors unanimously passed the bylaw on Feb. 9. The new policy appears to be in direct response to U.S. women’s star Megan Rapinoe, who knelt during the national anthem before a Team USA friendly in September. Rapinoe, following the lead of NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, was kneeling to protest social inequality in America. U.S. Soccer issued a statement at the time saying it didn’t agree with Rapinoe’s decision. After the federation’s new bylaw was revealed Saturday, Team USA women’s

But as it stands today, traffic congestion is a problem that’s as frustrating as it is real. A new study conducted by INRIX ranks over 1,000 cities around the world on various traffic-related statistics, and the results show that the United States has a long ways to go. According to the study, commuters in Los Angeles spent 104.1 hours in traffic jams in 2016, ranking highest among all cities by a wide margin. Moscow, which finished first in last year’s rankings, came in second with 91.4 hours spent in traffic. Other U.S. cities appearing in the top 20 include: New York (3), San Francisco (4),
Simone Biles soars to AP Female Athlete of the Year
Simone Biles tried to treat the 2016 Summer Olympics like just your average ordinary gymnastics meet. So what if the stage and the stakes were different? The floor was still the floor. The vault still the vault. The uneven bars still uneven. The balance beam still a four-inch wide test of nerves. And the 19-year-old with the electric smile and boundless talent was still the best in the world. Maybe the best of all-time. Over the course of 10 days in August, the biggest meet of her life ended like pretty much all the others in the four years that came before it, with Biles standing atop the podium, a gold medal around her neck and the sport she’s redefining one boundary-pushing routine
