Randy Moss On Meeting Deion Sanders: ‘I Was Liquidy; I Was Just Melting’ (Video)

There was once a time when Randy Moss was sure he was going to play for the Dallas Cowboys. The former New England Patriots wide receiver said in an interview with FOX Sports that prior to the 1998 NFL draft, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told him that they would select him with their No.-8 pick if he was still available. But for Moss, it was meeting Deion Sanders that really made him want to be a Cowboy. In a rather amusing animated video, Moss recalled how the Cowboys arranged for him to have dinner at the star cornerback’s house. Moss said he was so excited that “you could have melted me and put me in a cup.”

Drew Brees Spins Away From Two Defenders, Throws Touchdown Pass (Video)

Apparently Drew Brees is much more mobile than originally thought. The New Orleans Saints quarterback certainly looked like one of the more athletic signal-callers in the league during the third quarter of Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers, as he pulled off some elusive moves en route to hooking up with tight end Jimmy Graham in the end zone. On 3rd-and-six from the 49ers’ 11-yard line, Brees looked like he was going down and going down in a hurry, but he managed to avoid a sack by spinning away from two defenders. The impressive play that looked like something out of a video game got even better when Brees threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Graham.

John Scott Leaves Bench, Sparks Massive Ducks-Sharks Line Brawl (Video)

The pressure was building the entire game. It was just a matter of time until things erupted, and they certainly did. In the third period of Sunday’s game between the San Jose Sharks and Anaheim Ducks, Sharks’ tough guy John Scott left the bench to fight Tim Jackman. The pair already had dropped the gloves early in the first period and earned matching fighting penalties. Round two turned into a full-out line brawl. Scott could face an automatic ten-game suspension if the NHL finds that he didn’t leave the bench as part of a legitimate line change, which would violate Rule 70.10. In the game, Scott received a ten-minute game misconduct for instigating and was ejected. Even Ducks

Vladimir Guerrero’s 15-Year-Old Son Is Pretty Good At Baseball (Video)

Vladimir Guerrero compiled 449 home runs and 1496 RBIs during his 16-year MLB career and probably still appears in pitchers’ nightmares. His son, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., hopes to dominate baseball the way his dad did back in the day, and he recently showed that he’s been blessed by a lot of his father’s athletic genes. At the age of 15, the younger Guerrero is already tearing up the cover off the ball. A video has emerged of the slugger’s son ripping line drives and deep fly balls off batting practice pitches. Guerrero Jr. already stands at 6-foot-2, 220 pounds and has plenty of years to grow. There’s a good chance he’s going to get some looks from scouts since he’s eligible to sign with

David Ortiz, Chris Archer Face Off In Latest Red Sox-Rays Rematch (Video)

All eyes will be on David Ortiz and Chris Archer during Friday night’s matchup between the Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays in Florida. The Red Sox slugger and Rays starter had themselves a little back-and-forth after their last meeting, when Archer didn’t appreciate the length of Ortiz’s trot after he hit a three-run homer off him. So will they bring the gloves out during this latest series? Check out Don Orsillo and Jerry Remy’s take in the video above. Next Article >> Jerry Remy On Koji Uehara:...

Kole Calhoun Robs Brock Holt Of Home Run With Incredible Catch (Video)

Brock Holt has been robbing major league hitters all season, regardless of which position he’s playing. The Boston Red Sox’s superutility player received a taste of his own medicine Tuesday. Holt tattooed a fly ball back toward the right field wall in the second inning of the Red Sox’s game against the Los Angeles Angels at Fenway Park. The deep drive looked destined to land in the Angels’ bullpen, but Kole Calhoun had other plans. Calhoun raced back, timed his jump perfectly and absolutely robbed Holt with an incredible leaping catch. The impressive grab deprived Holt of a three-run homer, as Mookie Betts doubled and Christian Vazquez walked before Calhoun’s game-changing play. Youngsters Live Out Dreams Of Playing In Boston In Futures At Fenway (Video)

Win or lose almost didn’t matter for many of the players on the Lowell Spinners during the Futures at Fenway game Sunday. Playing in Fenway Park was a dream of many of the players on the Boston Red Sox’s Single-A affiliate, so just sitting in the dugout was good enough for some. “It’s unreal,” Spinners center fielder Danny Mars said. “Words can’t even describe it. This place — it’s history, it’s baseball. This park’s one of a kind.” The Spinners were winning until the ninth inning when they unraveled and ended up losing 6-1. However, some might be lucky enough to enjoy a victory at Fenway Park later in their careers. Next Article >> Peter Chiarelli Open To David...
