New England Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount had a career year with the Patriots in 2016, but it doesn’t sound like he will be returning for an encore next season. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo said on air Tuesday that there is an “expectation” that Blount will not be back with the Patriots in 2017, according to CSNNE. Blount will become an unrestricted free agent Thursday when the new NFL league year begins. The 30-year-old running back is coming off a season in which he ran for a career-high 1,161 yards and an NFL-leading 18 touchdowns. It was his first season with double-digit touchdowns for the Patriots. If Blount does decide t... NESN.com

Patriots Reportedly Not Expected To Trade Jimmy Garoppolo This Offseason
by Zack Cox on Wed, Mar 1, 2017 at 9:01AM 2,679 Share this: After months of rampant trade speculation, it appears Jimmy Garoppolo is staying put. In what he called “a move that will have a ripple effect on all QB-needy teams,” ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Wednesday, citing league sources, that the New England Patriots are not expected to trade Garoppolo this offseason. “I’m telling you right now, (the Patriots) love Jimmy Garoppolo,” Schefter said on “SportsCenter.” “… He is not going to be traded.” The 25-year-old quarterback has one year remaining on his rookie contract, and with starting QB Tom Brady showing no signs of decline as he approaches age 40, many predicted the Patriots would deal Garoppolo rather than risk losing him for nothing
Marcus Cannon Capped Career Year By Dominating Vic Beasley In Super Bowl LI
by Zack Cox on Wed, Feb 8, 2017 at 4:29PM 1,912 On Tuesday, I published a list of players I viewed as unsung heroes in the New England Patriots’ historic Super Bowl LI win over the Atlanta Falcons. I mentioned Trey Flowers’ gigantic sacks, Malcolm Mitchell’s and Danny Amendola’s clutch fourth-quarter catches and Stephen Gostkowski’s proficiency on kickoffs, with a note that Gostkowski was lucky his missed extra point didn’t come back to bite the Patriots in the behind. But af... NESN.com
Marinelli Rivacold Snipers launch: Fenati’s back!
Romano Fenati: "This is a team with which I am sure I will be happy. I realized during the tests and on the 2016 Honda, I was immediately at ease. The first few laps I must confess though I'm ashamed to admit, it was hard to get used to the speed! That is, I felt like I had my mum sitting at my side saying "slow down!" but then, lap after lap, I regained security and I got back into it. During the winter I did some special training to strengthen my shoulders, arms and back: I shoveled tons of snow. I’m from Ascoli and between earthquakes and incredible snowfall I haven’t stopped; in my small way, I have tried
Chipper Jones, Jim Thome Among Newcomers For 2018 Hall Of Fame Ballot
Share this: The National Baseball Hall of Fame Class of 2017 was announced Wednesday, making it the perfect time to look ahead to the 2018 ballot. So which players have a chance to join Jeff Bagwell, Tim Raines and Ivan Rodriguez in Cooperstown? Of the new eligible players for next year’s ballot, former Atlanta Braves third baseman Chipper Jones probably has the best chance to be inducted into Cooperstown. The 1999 National League MVP and eight-time All-Star hit .303 with 468 home runs and 2,726 hits in his 19-year career. Jim Thome, Omar Vizquel and Scott Rolen will be among the other notable first-time names on the ballot. Of the returning names, relief pitcher Trevor Hoffman came the closest to Cooperstown in 2017 with 74 percent of
