West Loop comfort retailer robbed at gunpoint


A comfort retailer was robbed at gunpoint Friday within the West Loop.

The male suspect pointed a handgun on the clerk and demanded that he open the register at 2:58 a.m. inside the shop within the 500 block of West Lake Street, in accordance with Chicago police.

Police didn’t specify which enterprise was robbed, however a 7-Eleven is positioned in that block at 567 W. Lake St.

The suspect ran out of the shop with an unspecified amount of money and cigarettes, police mentioned. He received into the passenger facet of a white SUV, which drove off in an unknown route.

The clerk was unable to see the SUV’s driver, police mentioned. No accidents had been reported.
