Whitney Young’s DJ Steward cuts his record to eight schools


Young’s DJ Steward, the state’s top-ranked participant within the Class of 2020, minimize his record to eight in a video launched on Twitter on Thursday.

Steward, a senior guard, is right down to DePaul, Duke, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, Louisville, North Carolina and Texas. Kentucky and Notre Dame have been two notable faculties that didn’t make the minimize.

The 6-Three guard picked up presents from each Duke and North Carolina following his play at Nike’s Peach Jam on the EYBL circuit in July. Steward has taken unofficial visits to Louisville and Illinois and an official go to to Texas whereas including a plethora of high-major presents over the previous few weeks.

“It’s definitely changed my thought process,” Steward says of the uptick in curiosity from blue blood packages.

Steward had a sensational summer season, vaulting up the 247sports activities nationwide rankings, touchdown at No. 31 and alongside the best way grew to become the top-ranked prospect in Illinois on the record. Rivals.com adopted with its up to date rankings and put him at No. 35.
