Bears coaching camp report: Takeaways from the 10th


The Sun-Times’ Patrick Finley breaks down the Bears’ Monday apply, the 10th of 2019 coaching camp:

No kicking, no starters

There was no motion within the Bears’ kicker derby Tuesday — as a result of neither Elliott Fry nor Eddy Pineiro kicked in apply.

Coach Matt Nagy known as it “kinda a game-week thing” in preparation for Thursday’s preseason opener. Both kicked Monday.

“The guys in general have dead legs,” Nagy stated “Their legs right now, they’ve kicked a lot so let’s get them ready for that preseason game.”

Both will kick Thursday, however the Bears haven’t stated who will begin.

“But we’re just going to score all touchdowns,” Nagy stated, laughing.

The Gov.

Gov. J.B. Pritzker walked onto the Olivet Nazarene University campus towards the tip of apply, mingled with followers beneath a VIP awning, and spoke to members of the workforce afterward.

“He told me he expects 16-0 and a Super Bowl,” Nagy stated. “I said, ‘That’s some pretty lofty expectations.’”
