Share this: While Sunday’s Minnesota Vikings vs. Chicago Bears game didn’t feature any playoff implications, there certainly was some excitement. That’s because two fans, somehow, made their way to the rafters of US Bank Stadium and managed to hang from a banner. According to ESPN’s Darren Rovell, there was actually a reason behind the fans’ crazy stunt. The stadium’s officials issued a statement regarding the issue. Authorities eventually made their way up to ridge, and it looks like these two will have a rather unpleasant evening. More Stories Source link

Patriots Injury Report: Malcolm Mitchell Downgraded To Out For Game Vs. Dolphins
Share this: The New England Patriots will be down another wide receiver this weekend. Wideout Malcolm Mitchell was downgraded to out for the Pats’ Week 17 road game against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. Mitchell didn’t practice all week due to a knee injury, making this news far from shocking. He was listed as doubtful on Friday’s injury report. The Patriots already announced wide receiver Danny Amendola won’t play Sunday due to a high ankle sprain. Cornerback Cyrus Jones also was ruled out with a knee injury. Quarterback Tom Brady (thigh), tight end Martellus Bennett (ankle/shoulder), linebacker Dont’a Hightower (knee) and wide receiver/special teamer Matthew Slater (foot) all were listed as questionable on Friday’s report. Mitchell has logged 401 yards on 32 receptions with four touchdowns in his rookie season. Sunday’s game at
Clemson Destroys Ohio State, Sets Up Championship Rematch With Alabama
Share this: This one never was close. The No. 2 Clemson Tigers clinched a spot in the College Football Playoff National Championship with a 31-0 throttling of No. 3 Ohio State in the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl on Saturday night at University of Phoenix Stadium. As a result, they’ll face the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide, who dismantled No. 4 Washington earlier Saturday in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, in the title game for the second straight season. Tigers quarterback Deshaun Watson was the star of the game, as he completed 23 of 36 passes for 259 yards with a touchdown. He did throw two interceptions, but neither cost Clemson. He also ran for 57 yards on 15 carries with two touchdowns. Running back Wayne Gallman also had a big night,
Bruins Must Stay Tough On Penalty Kill Vs. Sabres Team That Excels On Power Play
Share this: The Buffalo Sabres come to TD Garden with one of the best power-play percentages in the NHL. But Luckily for the Boston Bruins, they happen to be one of the best on the penalty kill themselves. The Sabres boasted a 22.3 power-play percentage — good for sixth in the league — heading into Saturday’s contest, but the Bruins were stopping teams on the man-advantage 86.6 percent of the time, which is good for second in the NHL. And as NESN’s Billy Jaffe said before the game, it’s vital for the Bruins to keep that up to avoid being victimized by Buffalo. Bruins, Tim Schaller Nearly Score On First-Period Power Play Vs. Sabres
Share this: Almost doesn’t count, but the Boston Bruins executed a nearly perfect power play besides the fact that they didn’t score. The B’s had the man-advantage Saturday in the first period against the Buffalo Sabres, and they set up what should have been a sure scoring opportunity. With Boston in a perfect triangle, Frank Vatrano fed the puck to Austin Czarnik on the left dot, and Czarnik passed to Tim Schaller right in front of the net. Schaller was robbed, however, on a nice pad save by Sabres goaltender Robin Lehner, but the Bruins forward did score in the second period. Watch it all unfold on the Arbella Coverage Cam in the video above. More Stories Source link
