Is Steelers’ Mike Tomlin A Great Coach? Terry Bradshaw Doesn’t Believe So
Share this: One of the most important Pittsburgh Steelers of all time appears to have an issue with the team’s current head coach. Hall of Fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw knows a thing or two about Pittsburgh football, having played on four Super Bowl-winning teams while under center for the Steelers. And he also knows what it’s like to play for a legendary coach in Chuck Noll. So what does he think about Mike Tomlin, the Steelers’ current head coach? Apparently not much. “I don’t think he’s a great coach at all,” Bradshaw said on Fox Sports 1’s “Speak For Yourself,” as transcribed by ESPN.com. “He’s a nice coach. To me, I’ve said this, he’s really a great cheerleader guy. I don’t know what he does.
Bruins Couldn’t Capitalize On Quality Chances In Loss Vs. Hurricanes
Share this: The Boston Bruins were unable to hold a two-goal advantage against the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday, as they fell 3-2 in overtime. The Bruins certainly had their opportunities to extend the lead as they outshot the Hurricanes 15-7 in the first period. “You hope and you keep talking about the same thing over and over,” coach Claude Julien told NESN’s Jack Edwards and Andy Brickley on “Bruins Overtime Live.” “You hope that you can find ways to extend leads. After two periods, it shouldn’t even have been 2-0, it should have been more than that with the number of quality chances.” Here more from Julien in the video above. Patriots vs. Jets Keys: New England’s Defense Should Continue To Dominate
Share this: There’s a very good chance the New England Patriots will provide their fanbase with an early Christmas or Hanukkah present Saturday when they take on the New York Jets. The Patriots are 16.5-point favorites over the Jets on Christmas Eve, and that astronomical line seems fair for this lopsided matchup. The Jets were blown out by a backup quarterback last week against the Miami Dolphins, while the Patriots dominated the Denver Broncos on the road. Here are the Patriots’ keys to victory and for staying fresh for the postseason. KEEP THE GOOD TIMES ROLLING ON DEFENSEPatriots fans couldn’t stop complaining about their under-performing defense early in the season. Don’t look now, but they’re allowing the fewest points per game in the NFL at 16.6
Kyle Rudolph Will Wear Awesome (And Predictable) Christmas Cleats For Vikings-Pa…
Share this: We imagine it’s probably tough to get through the holiday season without people cracking jokes if you share a last name with one of Santa’s reindeer, but Kyle Rudolph is embracing it. The Minnesota tight end is getting in the spirit ahead of the Vikings’ Christmas Eve game against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday with some festive footwear. Rudolph plans to wear cleats featuring, you guessed it, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. The cleats pay homage to the 1964 claymation movie version of “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” that’s a Christmas staple in many households. Whether they help guide Rudolph and the Vikings to a win to hang onto their slim playoff chances, though, remains to be seen. Thumbnail photo via Bruce Kluckhohn/USA TODAY Sports
