Opposing defenders have caught exactly zero of them. Through seven games, the Patriots are the only team in the NFL that has yet to throw an interception. The Minnesota Vikings fell from that list Sunday when Sam Bradford was picked off once in a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. How impressive of a stat is that? Well, according to Elias Sports Bureau, New England is only the third team in modern NFL history to begin a season with seven interception-free games, joining the 1960 Cleveland Browns and 2008 Washington Redskins. (The Redskins’ streak ended in Week 9, while the Browns made

NFL Trade Rumors: Browns’ Hue Jackson Slams Door On Joe Thomas Chatter
Share this: Hue Jackson couldn’t have been any clearer Monday. The Cleveland Browns head coach said point blank the team has no plans to trade Pro Bowl left tackle Joe Thomas. This comes one day after ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio, citing a source with knowledge of the situation, reported that a trade involving Thomas is possible this season. “We. Are. Not. Going. To. Trade. Joe. Thomas.” — Hue Jackson — Cleveland Browns (@Browns) October 24, 2016 Thomas, who was selected third overall in 2007, has been named to the Pro Bowl in each of his nine seasons. The 31-year-old still is considered one of the best left tackles in the NFL, so he’d almost certainly draw plenty of interest if the Browns decided to make a move. Unfortunately
NFL Injury Report: Tracking Week 7 Fantasy Football Injuries For Notable Stars
Share this: We’re nearing the halfway point of the NFL season, and injuries are starting to take their toll. The beginning of the Week 7 slate saw Chicago Bears quarterback Brian Hoyer go down with a broken arm Thursday night, and another starting signal-caller will be out Sunday in the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Ben Roethlisberger. But there are plenty of other players who may be on the fence, and we’ll track the status of those players here so you can set your fantasy football lineups accordingly. 11 p.m.: Seattle Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner briefly left with an injury, but returned to the game. 9:15 p.m.: Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson seemed to hurt his back early in the game, and sprinted to the locker room to
Patriots Vs. Steelers Notes: LeGarrette Blount On Pace For Record-Setting Season
by Zack Cox on Sun, Oct 23, 2016 at 11:17PM 10,096 Share this: LeGarrette Blount closed out his forgettable Pittsburgh Steelers tenure by walking off the field in the middle of a game. Unfortunately for the Steelers, he stuck around until the final whistle Sunday. Playing at Heinz Field for the first time since the Steelers released him in 2014, Blount ran wild against his former team, racking a season-high 127 yards on 24 carries and scoring two of the New England Patriots’ four touchdowns in a 27-16 win. It was third 100-yard effort of the season for the 29-year-old running back, who already has set a new single-season career high for touchdowns with eight. If he keeps up his current pace, he’ll shatter his career
Seahawks-Cardinals ‘Sunday Night Football’ Was The Best Bad Game Ever
Share this: You’re never supposed to ask if things can possibly get any worse. “Sunday Night Football” in Week 7 is why. The NFL is in the midst of a week from hell, in which it finds itself in the middle of another domestic violence fiasco days after Week 6 TV ratings hit their lowest mark in five years. So the worst thing that could’ve happened to the league’s already-dropping ratings was a sloppy, low-scoring game on its ratings darling, “Sunday Night Football.” Sometimes, Karma just has a way of catching up to you. The Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals played one of the worst games in the history of football, as both teams failed to score a touchdown in a 6-6 tie. It
Malcolm Butler’s Interception Celebration Vs. Steelers Was A Sight To Behold
by Zack Cox on Sun, Oct 23, 2016 at 4:57PM 2,732 Share this: Malcolm Butler celebrated his first interception of the season with one of the more … um, interesting celebrations we’ve seen this year. After stepping in front of Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown to pick off a Landry Jones pass Sunday, the New England Patriots cornerback launched into a dance that looked like a cross between Brown’s hip-thrust celebration and a Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man. Though this was Butler’s first interception, he entered Sunday with eight pass breakups in six games — tied for second in the NFL. Thumbnail photo via Mark J.
