Patriots Notes: Chris Hogan Treating Buffalo Return ‘Like Every Other Week’

by Zack Cox on Wed, Oct 26, 2016 at 5:50PM 1,746 Share this: FOXBORO, Mass. — This weekend’s New England Patriots-Buffalo Bills matchup might be of the utmost importance to Rex Ryan, but to former Bills wide receiver Chris Hogan, it’s just another game. Hogan, who signed with the Patriots this past offseason, insisted he doesn’t have his first game back in Orchard Park circled on his calendar. “Nope, I’m going about this just like every other week,” Hogan said Wednesday. “It’s an away game. It’s a (divisional) game for us. It’s going to be a big game. Just (with) the way the outcome of the previous game went, we’re just looking forward to getting up there and playing a solid four quarters of football.” The Bills handed

Terry Francona Still Hasn’t Lost A World Series Game; Indians Crush Cubs

Share this: Corey Kluber was stellar, Andrew Miller dazzled again, Roberto Perez brought the big bat and the Cleveland Indians lead the World Series after a 6-0 victory over the Chicago Cubs. Kluber, Cleveland’s ace, pitched six strong innings, scattering four hits and striking out nine batters. In the second inning, Kluber became the first Indians pitcher ever to strike out the side in a World Series game. Andrew Miller took over for Kluber from there, and though he got himself into a jam in the seventh and eighth innings — including a bases loaded, no-out jam in the seventh — he escaped unharmed and preserved what at the time was a 3-0 lead. The Indians got on the scoreboard pretty quickly in the first

Daniel Sturridge Scores Twice As Liverpool Out-Guns Tottenham In EFL Cup

Share this: A Daniel Sturridge double helped Liverpool book its place in the quarterfinals of the EFL Cup with a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday at Anfield. The striker scored in either half of the fourth-round tie as the Reds controlled much of the game, though the visitors set up a tense finale after Vincent Janssen converted a penalty kick. Patriots’ Defense Eyeing Uptick In Picks, Offense Looking To Curb Fumbles

by Zack Cox on Tue, Oct 25, 2016 at 5:27PM 2,744 Share this: The New England Patriots’ offense and defense both are focused on turnovers ahead of this Sunday’s rematch with the Buffalo Bills. For the offense, fumbles are a primary point of emphasis. The Patriots lost two in Sunday’s win over the Pittsburgh Steelers and have put the ball on the ground 14 times this season, tying their total from the entire 2015 campaign. “There’s no question that our players and our coaches are emphasizing that,” Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels said Tuesday in a conference call with reporters. “We know there is no greater determinant of success than taking care of the football on offense, that’s for sure. Everybody would agree with that.

Cubs Will Get Free Lap Dances For Life If They Win 2016 World Series

Share this: If the Chicago Cubs are able to climb atop the baseball mountain, there could be plenty of dancing in their future. It might not be the players who do the dancing, though. Facing a 108-year curse, if Chicago can spoil its fans by knocking off the American League champion Cleveland Indians, V Live, a famous Chicago strip club, is prepared to spoil the Cubs players — for life. “If the Cubs win the World Series, they will have free lap dances forever,” V Live owner Damon Cobb told TMZ Sports. “This is a very exciting time for Chi-Town.” To the victor go the spoils, right?
