The Patriots quarterbacks stars in a new commercial for Shields Health Care in which he simultaneously demonstrates what his fans love, and his detractors hate, about him. The spot needs little to no explanation. [embedded content] If Brady hadn’t reached peak-Patriot after 16-plus seasons and four unforgettable Super Bowl titles, Shields Health Care certainly has taken him there. Brady is expected to play his first game of the 2016 NFL season on Sunday when the Patriots visit the Cleveland Browns. Cleveland fans likely will shower Brady with boos at FirstEnergy Stadium, but the 39-year-old will remain a bright spot in the hearts of Patriots

Watch Edwin Encarnacion Crush Game-Winning Home Run, Send Blue Jays To ALDS
Share this: Who’s ready for another Toronto Blue Jays-Texas Rangers playoff series? Designated hitter Edwin Encarnacion blasted a three-run, walk-off home run in the 11th inning Tuesday night to give the Blue Jays a 5-2 win over the Baltimore Orioles in the American League Wild Card Game. And blasted might be an understatement. The ending was controversial, as the Orioles never turned to closer and Cy Young candidate Zach Britton. Instead, manager Buck Showalter, who said after the game that Britton was available, put in Ubaldo Jimenez with one out in the 11th, and he proceeded to allow two straight singles before Encarnacion’s homer. The Blue Jays-Rangers AL Division Series will begin Thursday with Game 1 at 4:38 p.m. ET. Click to see fan throw beer can at Orioles

Patriots Are Interception-Free, But Alarming Fumble Total Is Concerning
by Zack Cox on Tue, Oct 4, 2016 at 2:03PM 1,131 Share this: The New England Patriots made it through Tom Brady’s Deflategate suspension without their backup quarterbacks throwing a single interception. That’s the good news. The not-so-good news is the Patriots are fumbling the ball at their highest rate in years. Including special teams, New England has put the ball on the ground an NFL-most 12 times through four games, including three fumbles by quarterback Jacoby Brissett and two each by quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, running back LeGarrette Blount and wide receiver Danny Amendola. For context, the Patriots have fumbled more than 17 times in an entire season just once since 2006. They did so 27 times in 2013, with 10 of them being charged to quarterback Tom Brady. No
Red Sox-Indians ALDS Pitching Matchups: Clay Buchholz To Start Game 3

Buchholz has been named the Boston Red Sox’s Game 3 starter in their American League Division Series matchup against the Cleveland Indians, per ESPN’s Scott Lauber. That contest will be played at Fenway Park on Sunday, as the Indians will host Games 1 and 2. Buchholz hit some rough patches this season that included several trips to the bullpen. But he earned a spot in the rotation in September and delivered down the stretch, allowing two runs or fewer in four of his last five starts. The veteran right-hander getting Game 3 means left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez, the third man in Boston’s rotation
