Iannone: "I had big problems from the beginning"

“It was a really difficult race, from the beginning I had big problems with the movement of the bike, in the last three races I’ve struggled a lot with this problem,” explained the number 29. “In any case, I talk with my engineers and I tried to solve something, we try some solutions but we never give up, I think we have a really good base but it is important we improve the race pace and tyre life - this is the priority.” Source link

MotoGP™ delivers record-breaking digital figures

MotoGP™ has revealed record-breaking digital figures for 2017 after revamping its digital strategy through a partnership with cloud-based video specialist Grabyo. The global motorcycling series has seen its digital fanbase grow to more than 22 million, while it also recorded over a billion video views during the 2017 season, double the previous campaign, and more than 380 million engagements. The improved following largely owes to MotoGP™’s increased focus on social video and live streaming, with its own VideoPass over-the-top (OTT) service already providing fans with coverage of its races. Assen: racing on Sunday, the legend remains

In 2016, the Dutch TT was held on Sunday for the first time. Before that, tradition held that the event took place on a Saturday…and so it was for the first 67 editions. So some things have changed as we gear up for the 2018 Motul TT Assen – but the legend, magic and myth of the Dutch GP remain the same. In 2018 there is something that harks back rather than forward, too, with the races held in July for the first time since 1955. Source link

Advantage Bezzecchi approaching Assen's final chicane

It was another dramatic Moto3™ race at Catalunya, but this time, only for some - and it was Jorge Martin (Del Conca Gresini Moto3) who lost out the most in the Championship, crashing as he did out of the lead and taking home another 0. At the front, meanwhile, Enea Bastianini (Leopard Racing) won for the first time since Motegi 2016 - and gained 25 points on the front. Source link

Marquez swaps engine for pedals ahead of Dutch GP

“I always approach races in the same way,” commented Marquez. “I start on Friday, full gas, 100 perecent! I try to find the best setup, find the best rhythm to be ready for Sunday. Then, I sit with my team and I say “okay, this race we can fight for fifth position, for third, or for the victory. Then, after the warm up, we check a little bit but, of course, the mentality is to win.” Source link

A more sustainable Grand Prix with KISS Barcelona

This year, KISS Barcelona again had great support from World Champion and FIM Ride Green Environmental Ambassador Marc Márquez, who was joined by a group of children when he took part in the creation of a wall-painting on the topic "The Circuit's Commitment to Sustainability", which marked the inauguration of the 2018 edition of KISS Barcelona on the Thursday afternoon before the race weekend. This was one of the most special moments, as it took place next to the Paddock roundabout, where, at last year’s event, Marc Márquez, with a group of children from the Climate Justice Ambassadors group planted a hackberry, which is a typical tree of the region.
