Zarco: “I wake up feeling I have to be champion”
Le Mans was the first time you did not finish in the points, after 24 races. Was this a blow to you?"You're always disappointed when you don’t have a good race, but you can’t be more disappointed just because it’s your home race, because you don’t get more points there than at other Grands Prix. When you're thinking about the championship, you realise that every race is important, whether you're riding in your home country or not. The only thing that changes is that you have the support of the fans and pressure from journalists, which you can handle well or badly. However, it was of course disappointing. Always being on the limit is very
Mid-Season Review: Aleix Espargaro
He was then amongst the many riders that fell foul of the tricky conditions at Assen, crashing out of the restarted 12-lap race in the wet. He struggled again in the flag-to-flag race at the Sachsenring, eventually finishing in 14th to reach the summer break in 11th overall in the championship with 51 points.... news RSS on motogp.com - The Official MotoGP Website
Miller: “This test was really important”
Perfect weather at the Red Bull Ring gave the MotoGP™ World Championship teams testing there two very productive days. We made technical improvements regarding the fork and also the topic of the tires was naturally very interesting for me. Although I haven’t yet found the ideal combination where I can say I can now ride a half a second faster, the interplay between things like the wheelie control, traction
The week that was GermanGP
In 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2014 Marc Marquez held the points lead after the German GP and on all four occasions he went on to take the title. He’s leading the points table again in 2016, will the same statistic hold true? The Spaniard seems unable to put a foot wrong, even moments that should have ruled him out of contention, such as his off-track excursion during the German GP, turn around and see him come out on top....
Marquez: “I thought my run was going to come to an end”
Marc Marquez: “At a certain point today, I thought my run at this circuit was going to come to an end, but in the end we succeeded and earned a very good result, especially considering how Valentino [Rossi] and Jorge [Lorenzo] finished the race. I’m very happy with how we worked with the team today: they did a great job preparing my bike after my crash in the warm-up, and then in the race our strategy proved to be perfect. It was a very difficult race, with it being flag-to-flag and the track conditions so delicate. In the first part of the race, in the wet, I found things a little difficult....
