With Zarco just a further 2 points behind you in the standings, do you now see it as a three-way battle for the title now?“I have always said my title rivals would be Rins and Zarco. When Zarco had one or two bad races, everyone was counting him out. He won the second race of the year, then people were writing him off after Jerez. I suppose that’s Moto2, but for me it’s always been myself, Zarco and Rins. Hopefully I can keep taking the fight to them. If you had said to me in Japan last year that after seven races I would be two points ahead of Zarco, I’d have bitten your hand

Intense testing schedule for KTM
Sebastian Risse (Technical Director Onroad): “Our focus here was mainly on being able to confirm the development steps we made in Brno. However, the conditions, especially on day one allowed us to shed light on how our material would work under extreme conditions, and we had no big problems. We also had tyres from Michelin for the first time, which are very similar to those used in the Grand Prix on this circuit. Because of this we were able to work on the setup in different ways, and we saw a significant improvement in laps times compared to those from the earlier tests in spring.”...
KTM continue progress in Brno
Karel Abraham (Test Rider MotoGP): “Two days ago rain was forecast for the test, but we were able to use 100% of the track time and we even rode through the noon break. In addition I achieved my personal goal concerning lap times. We tried very many things and I hope I was able to again deliver a lot of info to the team so that we make another good step forward when I return for my next test. For me the test stint was very tiring but I’m very happy with the performance and thankful that the team achieved so much between the tests and here onsite.”The KTM MotoGP™ Factory Racing Team now travel
Lorenzo: “I could get through the day quite well”
Jorge Lorenzo: “It was a positive test. After my crash yesterday I felt quite some pain, especially in my leg, but some pills made me feel better, so I could get through the day quite well. I tried many things, especially some new tyres from Michelin on the rear, some of the them had quite a positive effect on acceleration, and a new chassis from the team, which also gave us some positive points that we will test further tomorrow.”...
Zarco: “We all knew that this race was for Luis”
From Saturday onwards it was clear that Johann Zarco (Ajo Motorsport) and Alex Rins (Paginas Amarillas HP 40) were the riders to beat, the pair duelling it out on Sunday. Both got shuffled back in the run down to Turn 1 but quickly recovered to lead the field. The pair escaped and Zarco watched Rins for most of the race, learning his lines, where Rins was weak and most importantly where Zarco was stronger. Seven laps from the end Zarco saw his chance and took it without a second thought, slipping past Rins and never looking back. Zarco’s pace was untouchable and he would eventually cross the line 4.180s ahead of Rins....
Remembering Luis Salom
Born in Palma de Mallorca on 7 August 1991, Luis Salom began racing from a young age and quickly progressed through the Spanish ranks. From the moment he stepped on the bike he was a fighter, almost always up against the odds. In 2007 he joined the Red Bull MotoGP™ Rookies Cup, scoring second in his debut before taking victory at the fourth race of the year in Assen. He remained in the championship for 2008, winning four out of the first five races and battling with American JD Beach for the title, Salom missing out by just four points....
Classics: Relive 3 of the best Catalan GPs
2014In 2014 Marc Marquez was a force of nature. The reigning MotoGP™ champion had been simply untouchable all season, winning the first six races from pole position to take an almost unassailable lead in the championship. The other riders knew they had to find a way of beating Marquez on the Honda, but at Catalunya the Spaniard made a mistake. A crash in Q2 saw him qualify in third, the first time he had not started from pole that season. A chink had appeared in his armour and the rest of the field knew they had to try and take advantage before Marquez ran away with the title. It was now or never. The rest, as
