His skills were particularly apparent against the San Jose Sharks in Boston’s 4-1 win Feb. 26 when Marchand absolutely undressed Sharks defenseman Erik Karlsson before he backhanded the puck into the net. If you include the All-Star break, it had been 16 days since the Boston Celtics last won a game. At times, it’s felt longer. But at long last, the C’s got back in the win column, beating the lowly Washington Wizards 107-96 on Friday at TD Garden. The victory snapped a four-game losing skid in which the Celtics truly just played some appalling basketball at times. Phillies Ticket Sales Spike On Reported Bryce Harper Contract Agreement
The Philadelphia Phillies’ looming signing of Bryce Harper already is paying off. The Phillies sold 100,000-plus tickets in the hours after reports claiming Harper had agreed to join the team as a free agent emerged in the media, Phillies senior vice president of ticket operations John Weber told Philadelphia radio station 94WIP on Friday morning.
