The New England Patriots suffered a scare late in Sunday’s game, but it appears some of the concern can be quelled. Wide receiver Julian Edelman went to the locker room with an ankle injury in the fourth quarter of the Pats’ 34-10 Week 10 loss at the hands of the Tennessee Titans. Seeing as Edelman missed all of last season with an ACL tear suffered during the preseason, an injury in that part of the body understandably aroused some concern. Bruins Notes: Jeremy Lauzon Beaming After Scoring First NHL Goal
Jeremy Lauzon scored his first NHL goal thanks in part to a friendly bounce, but it all looks the same on the box score. In the closing minutes of the first period in the Boston Bruins’ 4-1 win over the Vegas Golden Knights on Sunday, Sean Kuraly dumped a puck into the corner as he crossed center ice. The puck took an unusual bounce, hitting the boards just right so that it slid right back toward the center of the attacking zone. Gordon Hayward was crushed with boos Friday night at Vivint Smart Home Arena, but it appears that not all of them were genuine. Hayward suited up in Salt Lake City for the first time as a visitor when the Boston Celtics met the Utah Jazz. MLB Rumors: Bryce Harper Turned Down This Offer From Nationals
Bryce Harper is among the hottest free agents on the market this offseason, and we now have a starting point as to what he thinks he’ll command. The star outfielder reportedly turned down a 10-year, $ 300 million offer to remain with the Washington Nationals, according to The Washington Post’s Chelsea Janes.
