Drew Pomeranz Looks To Help Red Sox By Pitching Deeper Into Games

Drew Pomeranz was by no means lights out Wednesday against the New York Yankees, but he did have one of his better outings in a Boston Red Sox uniform.

Pomeranz lasted 5 1/3 innings in Wednesday’s 9-4 loss to the New York Yankees at Fenway Park, but the Boston Red Sox left-hander only allowed one earned run on six hits with five strikeouts. However, the bullpen had to pick up the workload from there, and things didn’t go well for Matt Barnes, Fernando Abad, Junichi Tazawa, Robbie Ross Jr. and Co.

Hear what Pomeranz had to say about his performance in the video from “Red Sox Final” above.
