A 14-year-old boy used to be killed when two automobiles collided Sunday on Interstate 290 at the Near West Side.
About 12:55 a.m., a 19-year-old guy riding a block 2008 Pontiac struck the rear of a 2017 white Cadillac within the eastbound lanes of I-290 close to Paulina Street, Illinois State police stated.
Hector Cortez Tatia, who used to be within the Pontiac, used to be pronounced useless at Stroger Hospital, state police and the Cook County scientific examiner’s place of business stated. He lived in Little Village. The driving force and 17-year-old boy within the automobile had been hospitalized with non-life threatening accidents.
The 43-year-old guy riding the Cadillac suffered non-life threatening accidents, state police stated.
Eastbound site visitors used to be diverted onto Damen Avenue for greater than 3 hours as government investigated, state police stated. The investigation is ongoing.
