Bruins Coach Bruce Cassidy Praises Tuukka Rask’s Effort In Win Over Flyers

Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy had a lot to be happy about after his team’s 3-0 win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday. Boston picked up its sixth win in seven games, and much-maligned goalie Tuukka Rask picked up his second straight win. Cassidy had significant praise for Rask after the game, as the veteran netminder appears to be coming out of his season-long funk. Heath Evans Makes Convincing Case To Replace Gus Malzahn As Auburn Coach

Heath Evans Makes Convincing Case To Replace Gus Malzahn As Auburn Coach

Heath Evans, like many Auburn fans and alumni, was disgusted with the Tigers’ performance against LSU on Saturday. The former Auburn fullback, though, seems to be directing much of his frustration at one person in particular: head coach Gus Malzahn. No. 10 Auburn got up 20-0 in the second quarter against LSU, but eventually collapsed and fell 27-23 in Baton Rouge, La. Not helping matters was Malzahn, who made a puzzling decision to go for it on fourth down with over two minutes left in the game, his team trailing and deep in their own territory. He also didn’t throw a challenge flag when the LSU timekeeper failed to stop the clock on Auburn’s final

Bruins Ready For First Training Camp With Bruce Cassidy As Head Coach

The Boston Bruins made a coaching change last season, replacing longtime bench boss Claude Julien with Bruce Cassidy. The B’s then made a late-season push and secured a playoff spot with Cassidy at the helm, and that experience should help both him and the team Thursday when they begin training camp. Check out Andy Brickley’s thoughts on Cassidy’s first camp as B’s coach in the “NESN Sports Today” video above, presented by People’s United Bank. ... NESN.com

Adrian Peterson Already Arguing With Saints Coach Sean Payton On Sideline

Adrian Peterson Already Arguing With Saints Coach Sean Payton On Sideline

The Adrian Peterson era in New Orleans already is off to a lovely start. The former Vikings running back was back in Minnesota with his new squad on “Monday Night Football,” and we’re sure there was plenty of extra motivation as a result. However, the Saints only gave him four carries, which he turned into 14 yards during the first half. But that wasn’t the part that got all the attention. Instead, it was the argument he had with Saints head coach Sean Payton on the sideline. Yeah, that doesn’t seem like a good omen for Peterson in New Orleans. Juventus Coach Targets Serie A Title, Identifies Chief Rivals For Italian Soccer Championship

FOXBORO, MASS. — Juventus hasn’t dominated Italian soccer in recent years by taking anything for granted. Head coach Massimilano Allegri laid out Juventus’ targets for the 2017-18 season Sunday following its International Champions Cup game against AS Roma at Gillette Stadium, telling reporters at his postgame press conference he expects rivals to resist his team’s bid for a record-extending seventh consecutive Serie A (Italy’s first division) title. “Six Scudetti (league championships) in a row is difficult, but obviously winning the seventh one is going to be even harder,” Allegri said. “The teams have reinforced themselves, have stren... Zidane: ‘No words can do Cristiano Ronaldo justice’

How would you analyse your time in charge of Real Madrid since taking over in early 2016?I'm happy to have been given this opportunity. It's not an easy job, but it's a passion for me. Now I have the opportunity to coach this wonderful club, so I really get to live my passion from day to day. We may well have fantastic staff, but what we've achieved is also down to the fact we have wonderful players. They bought

Doc Rivers Couldn’t Care Less That Celtics Are In Eastern Conference Finals

by Zack Cox on Fri, May 19, 2017 at 11:14AM 1,745 Share this: More than a month after Doc Rivers’ Los Angeles Clippers were eliminated from the NBA playoffs, his old team still is playing. The Boston Celtics, who launched a full-blown rebuild after Rivers left town in 2013, have reached the Eastern Conference finals just four years later under new coach Brad Stevens. Though the Celtics are unlikely to defeat the heavily favored Cleveland Cavaliers, they also own the No. 1 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft and should be contenders for years to come. Meanwhile, Rivers’ new club, which plays in the much tougher Western Conference, has yet to advance past the second round. But despite this, the coach insists he doesn’t regret his decision
