Viñales: “I thought I was on pole!”

Maverick Viñales, P2: “When I saw the time I thought I was on pole because it was an incredible time compared to what we did in FP3 and FP4, but Marc did a really good lap and congratulations because it was an incredible lap. But I’m happy! Tomorrow we have to improve some things but I think we are quite ready. I hope I can battle and I can stay there at the end - we’ve been working really hard through the weekend on the last laps of the race. Today I got 100% from the Yamaha so we’ll take the positive points, and tomorrow we’ll try and work on the negative ones.” Source link

Qatar Debrief: Nick Harris and Matt Birt

MB: “That’s a tough one because there’s probably three outstanding candidates. The most obvious is Maverick Viñales, because he won the race, but that wasn’t a shock. The two things he could have caved into were overconfidence and pressure, but he’s a very level headed guy, cool and calm. And he dealt with the pressure impeccably. It shows how mentally clinical he can be. Johann Zarco as well was phenomenal, to lead on his MotoGP debut. Very rarely do we see rookies ride away from the best in the world! But I think for me, the man of the night was Aleix Espargaro. Most would agree the Aprilia isn’t on the level of the Honda, Ducati, Yamaha and Suzuki -

That’s all.” “Really, I just want to concentrate on doing my job and making the most of it.” “Everything else will take care of itself if I go out there and do what I’m supposed to

Airbus Concept Vehicle Can Drive On Land, Be Picked Up By Huge Drone

In the rush to lighten city traffic and shorten every day commutes, many companies have developed extreme concepts they hope could one day provide solutions. Airbus, however, has revealed something that could take things to a completely different, ridiculous level. At the Geneva International Motor Show on Tuesday, Airbus revealed Pop.Up, a multi-faceted mobility concept developed through a partnership with Italian engineering company Italdesign. Basically, users would be able to summon a taxi from their homes, be driven by a fully electric vehicle to their destinations or, if Pop.Up detects heavy traffic, the vehicle will be picked up by a massive drone and ...
